Reaching for the Stars - Chapter 10

Thanks for another great TR! You seem to always find something new to report. We need to check out Ethel M sometime. That room at Rincon is very nice and especially the patio. Sorry that the winning didn't go that well this trip. I used to play a lot of pick'em and the worst deal was a quad and then the next 4-royal. I'm waiting to hear about that NYE bash. Hopefully, you will break your cycle and win the million.

I finally made DL3 just before Thanksgiving. I'm working on getting a trip to AC end of December. I'll let you know when I get the details. It is quite a process!
Jon, great seeing you both in Vegas and for brunch in Laughlin. One of the key benefits of you being 7 * at Caesars was line cutting for the diamond lounge. Both E and K currently have diamond cards. Your 7* card got them to the front of the line and inside quickly. I love reading your reports and am keeping my fingers crossed that you will be the next Rincon millionaire.
Hey JMan,

Another thing that I wanted to add in to what I said about M, is that I think most LV Casinos offer Southern California residents at least some better stuff because (unless things have changed in the last few years or so), of all of the people who come to Las Vegas, about 30% of them come from Southern California which feeds into what I said above, that it's easier for Southern Californians to come up to LV on much shorter notice than people in other places.

I've been playing a lot at Rincon and reached DL3 by October. I didn't expect to get anywhere near 7* but with a few trips in December I ended up with 130k tier points...so close.

I typically have a high tier average per visit and I usually always get at least a La Jolla suite. I asked for a Coronado suite for a weekend in Dec and unfortunately there was a chinese concert on Saturday, with a high amount of 7* players. My host booked me in the Coronado suite Thur/Fri and then moved to the La Jolla suite on Sat. I think the suites are doled out more on play/trip average vs card type. My last trip I put on 7200 tier in one day and the trip before 5200.

My host calls me all the time with different offers including Chargers tickets and the last one was a charter to Lake Tahoe they were putting together for this weekend (1/17). We are going to Vegas, so passed on Tahoe.

I like the perks of 7*, gift baskets, etc..., but I think when granting suites they look more at the play/trip average for that property and Diamond may get suites over a 7* if their average is better.

I also always get suites at Paris and also have a host assigned to me there, even though I only go about 4 times a year.
