Route 66 Xmas casino trip, Dec. 20-30

Gas will likely spike a bit soon if Iran blocks the Strait of Hormuz along with this Venezuela nonsense, but good to see 2.09, it was 2.51 here yesterday.

Sounds like a great trip!  Hope to hear some more.  Are you doing the same on the return?

Wow - Oklahoma in December without rain, sleet, ice and snow? Glad you're having a good road trip. Enjoy your family time!

We will visit Win Star Casino tomorrow.  Supposed to have  the biggest casino floor in the world.  We'll see.  We'll stay in Lawton to visit more family tomorrow evening, before heading up to Amarillo to catch the 40 back to Kingman, then detour to Vegas for a night, before heading home in So. Cal.  There are 4 or 5 casinos in Lawton and on the 40 we will stop at along the way.

Naah, gas will stay cheap for the foreseeable future, as low gas prices are one of the few bright spots of a crippled economy. It might be fifteen cents a gallon soon if Trump doesn't die. Whatever happens with Iran and Venezuela will affect Europe's gas prices much more than ours.

We're paying around $2.85 in Portland. There have been supply disruptions because of all the storms and flooding--we've been car washed recently.

Yet another benefit of a Trump death, for us in the PNW, is that Canadian fossil fuel stocks are at an all-time high--they can't sell tariffed gas very easily. If the restrictions are eased, the PNW will be flooded with cheap gas. Unless they sell it all to China or Europe first.

Hope you're having a great Christmas! I've been hooking up with people I haven't seen in decades, which is wonderful.

Lying Lewis now singing a different song as the economy recovers from his brain dead Presidents destruction of the economy the previous 4 years. When he is not complaing, Lewis is making excuses for the disasterous actions of the DemocRAT party.  The tariffs with Canada will continue until they participate in leveling the field with the U.S. on tariffs - which will happen. MAGA!

Merry Christmas to all.Be nice to put political stuff on back burner today.

Well, unless your name is David Miller...but he can no more be nice for even one day than an elderly dog with diarrhea can avoid pooping on the carpet.

I wish you a merry everything.

Well said, Patricia.

Dec. 26- Skaitook to Lawton, OK

After enjoying the complimentary breakfast at the Osage Casino, and saying goodbye to my mother-in-law, we headed to the Win Star Casino in Thackerville, OK, a 3 and a half hour drive.

Note: I lost my $100 each day at the Osage. My wife lost the first two days, but doubled her $100 yesterday. Our son was the big winner. After losing the first day, he was up $150 on Christmas Eve, then won $1215 on Spooky Link, for his first ever hand pay, yesterday. We ate at their restaurant, Fiery Grille, using my wife's $25 food credit, for a late Christmas dinner. We ended up paying $233 total for our stay (2 rooms for 3 nights).  Not bad. This will be the only money we will spend on lodging during our 11 day, 10 night adventure.

Near the halfway point to the Winstar we stopped at the Seminole Nation Casino near Burnam, OK. This the smallest casino we have visited, but it had many of the popular slots and a bunch of the red screen slots. We all lost our $100, my son and I playing a red screen slots and wife playing Prosperity Link. Got shakes from Braums for the next part of our drive.

After a two hour drive we made it to Winstar. OMG, the place is HUGE! Basically, it's like 5 casinos broken up by city names like Madrid, Paris, Vienna, Beijing and Rome. Various bars and restaurants and beverage stations where you could get your own coffee or soft drinks. We were there for a few hours. Each of us played $200 here. I lost $150 playing some cartoonist alien game and Reigning Rhinos. Wife and son lost playing various slots.

Left Winstar and drove 2 hours to Lawton, where we stayed with my sister-in-law and her husband. Took them to dinner at a popular Mexican restaurant, Los Tres Amigos. Chips came with salsa and queso. Also gave homemade tortillas on request for no charge. Most of us had enchiladas and tacos with rice and beans. Everyone also got a sopaipilla (a fried dough covered with sugar). Wife loves these. Total bill for 5 of us, including drinks was $93 after my brother-in-law used his military discount.

Went to Comanche Casino in Cashe, OK with sister-in-law and her husband. This isn't the smallest casino we went to, but it was the first one that was all non-smoking. Like the other ones , this casino had the new games and red screen games. No table games. I lost my $100, as did my son playing the red screen Neptune Adventures.  Wife won $200 playing Prosperity Link.  We were going to visit this casino on the 27th, after leaving Lawton, but changed plans.

You mentioned a 25 dollar food credit at Osage, but did any other casino offer good promos for getting a players card ?  I want to see the Winstar some day.  Good luck on the trip home.
