I decided to go on a solo junket to AC. I left Cleveland Tuesday at 10:00am and arrived at Harrah's in AC around noon. I got my room assignment and went to check it out. I was on the 14th floor in the Marina Tower.
I decided to head over to Bally's. I got Jitney and headed over. I scanned my card for a $25 birthday offer which was comp. I decided to play those 3-play BP machines. It took about 15 minutes to lose my first hundred. I decided to try another machine. I ended up putting in $220 and played for just over an hour. These machines sure don't love me any more since I got my 2 royals in December lol! I decided to take a little break and go to the DL. I got a table by the window. It was nice, food just ok.
After eating, I headed over to the 10-coin JB machines. I had $200 in and hanging in there when I held a 10,J, A diamonds for my second 2K royal this year. Unlike my last one, I managed to contact my husband right away . Of course, he was delighted. I sent out my texts and started answering some. I had a nice chat with a local guy, Bill who had lived in Ohio for several years. I played on a little longer and left after about an hour and a half. Still determined to play the BP, I went back and put $300 in one machine for an hour and a half with no luck. A guy a couple of seats over got a royal holding A, 10. I then tried one more 10-coin machine playing for a little over an hour and left with a $100 profit. It was after 8:30 and I wanted to go get a shuttle and get back to Harrah's.
I played a machine at Harrah's for 5 hours JB $.50 and left with $100 profit. Time for bed.
I got up around 9:00am showered and went to the coffee shop and had some fruit, milk and danish. I returned to the room and left some in the frig. I went down to the casino and sat on a JB machine. I put in $100 and got down to $40 and after 10 minutes, I decided that I would move since another machine was open and I just didn't feel it here. Good move! This machine was much better.! I was playing $.50 and doing pretty well after I put in another $100. I was waiting for a call from rgpups (Dick from Milwaukie). We were going to meet at around noon. He called and told me he got up late and was going to eat so it would be a little longer. That's ok, I'll play longer. So at about 12:30 I held a J,Q,K diamonds and drew the other 2 for my second 2K royal in diamonds this trip. I was able to reach my husband, and of coarse I made his day. I did my texts. I didn't think when the guy came to get my info that I should have asked for a check. When he came back, I asked if I could get a check. He said he would have to do it over. I said I would appreciate it as I just didn't want to carry too much money. What a problem to have! Thank you Dick for making me stay. Dick called and asked where I was and I told him main isle by Exhibition Bar where a light is flashing with a diamond royal. I didn't hear from Dick yet when I got paid. A short while later he called and said he found a $.50 royal in diamonds, and it was Patty another LVA'er who was on his junket. This was some coincidence, lol. He was over by the Total Rewards. I headed over cashing out $130, and met Dick and Gloria, as well as Patty. We chatted for awhile and Pat, Dicks wife, came by. It was nice meeting all of you. I hope the rest of you had some luck that day.
I walked out the side door and decided it would not be a good day to walk. It was supposed to be 80 but not here. It was pretty cold and windy. I walked around to where the shuttles are and just missed one so I caught a jitney. I got a call from Rob (betdponies) and was meeting him at the Showboat DL. We had a nice visit and some pretty good food. Rob showed me his suite at the Taz, and then we headed over to Bally's. Rob was going home to get some warmer clothes since he only brought shorts. I hope it warmed up after I left anyway.
Rob took me to a nice 10-coin machine. I played it for almost 4 hours. I did get some quads and a SF, but left $100 down. Ok, call me crazy but I had to give the BP one last shot. I put in $200 and after about an hour and a half, I left with $100.
It was around 10:00 and I wanted to try to get a shuttle. I guess one had just left and was full when I arrived. Some nice folks from North Carolina hailed a cab and asked if any of us were going to Harrah's. So two other guys and myself joined them. He said it was his treat. We tried to pay him, but he wouldn't take anything. The cab driver said he doesn't know why more people don't do this. We had a nice ride back and interesting conversation about their travels. He actually came from Ohio.
I played a couple of the JB machines at Harrah's for about 3 hours, and lost $520 before heading up to bed. I soaked in a hot tub before bed. It felt good after beating up those upright machines, one thing bad about CET props in AC. I love those slant tops at Borgata.
The next morning I finished my leftovers from yesterday's breakfast. I was on a machine at 10:55. I was playing for awhile when my junket guy came by and talked to the lady next to me. I heard him say something about leaving at 6:15. I asked if I heard him right and he said yes that we wouldn't be leaving till 6:15 instead of 4:15. They must have left a message after I left the room. I got a call from Rob who was going to take a jitney to meet me here at the DL. I played even on this machine until 3:20. I got a table right by the bar and Rob came a few minutes later. We had a nice meal and said our goodbye's. I played a couple more machines and left with a $5 profit for the day. We sat on the bus waiting for the last minute people to show up about 15 minutes late. I was one of first to check-in at the airport. I got selected for some scan where they scanned just my hands. I read my book while waiting to board. We could have left a little early except, I guess about 5 people again held us up. Once on board, we moved quickly and arrived in Cleveland about 9:40.
It was a fun trip. It was nice to meet some new friends. It was very nice of Rob to hang out with Mom for a couple meals.
I really have to lighten up on my 3-play BP. I really just like a little break from single line JB once in awhile. Sometimes they are very good. The Devil's game as Catherine calls it is sometimes (like in Dec) The Angel's game.
I have really had some great luck this year and I hope my reports send some to some of you.
