1st place: Zehnders restaurant in Frankenmuth, Michigan.

I live 20 minutes North of Zehnders in Bay City. I go there twice a year. Once for my Free Birthday dinner in June and again in August for my mother's birthday. The dinner is excellent and always way more than you can eat.

I grew up in Bay City (T.L. Handy graduate); in fact my parents have a house on Killarney Beach. I ate at the Bavarian Inn in Frankenmuth this past August with my parents, my oldest son and his wife....family style chicken dinner and a cold pitcher of Bavarian dark beer...doesn't get any better than that. I've been eating at Zehnders ever since I was old enough to hold a drumstick.

Thanks for writing a great report. I discovered the Wine Grotto at the Rio by accident last trip, and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere along with the wine flight and cheese platter. You certainly do fit a lot of fun activities in, and sound like you had a blast! Did you play Sigma Derby while at the Vue Bar? Last time I played there everyone was having a blast loosing quarters, drinking beer and hooting and howling. Good times!

Really enjoyed your report. I used to write TRs, but have become lazy -- you've inspired me to start writing again.
