Hubby and I flew out of Austin on Friday the 13th, last flight out, we were delayed about 45 minutes. This is our annual trip to bet on college football. This is where hubby usually excels and I was hoping he was going to have the gambling trifecta for 2013 since his other 2 trips this year he had done better than me.
I have always had a departure day ritual until this year. I would stop @ Einstein Bros. for an egg white breakfast sandwich, than when I get home I have a half of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, then a Baileys and coffee on the plane. In january I started weight watchers so on my previous 4 trips this year I skipped my ritual and hubby has done better than I have SO I decided since I've been @ goal since
July, it was ritual time, I needed my mojo.
We landed and head to baggage claim and found our driver from Presidential and out bags were among the first on the carousel. We try to use the same driver every trip if we can, it's nice to see a familiar face at the airport. Off to Paris to check in, we had a comped premier red room for 4 nights. Still enjoying the line cuts because of our platinum card, we had key to room 2794' we had the best view of the Eiffel tower, pool and fountains. It was late, after 10:30 Vegas time and we were on a mission, and hungry, so we quickly unpacked. First stop, TR booth to ask what exactly the 24 hour period was to earn the extra tier credits. My mission for the weekend, Diamond, hubby's, parlays. We were told 6:00 a.m. to 5:59 a.m.. That should be doable. Next stop, Paris sports book for parlay cards and stat sheets. Final stop, Burge
Brasserie.
