Seven Day Trip Las Vegas Late March 2012

Very informative and engaging trip report. You've given me some good ideas for August. Thanks for taking the time to write.

I used to play this game regularly at Mohegan Sun in CT so know the game cold.

Great Trip Report !!!!!

I am surprised to hear that Garth Brooks is basically a one man show.
He must be raking in a ton of $$$ with the high price of his tickets and not having a band, backup singers, lighting, etc, etc, etc.

I went to Broadacres Flea market once on a weekend day, ........ man that place is HUGE, and it was extremely HOT !!!!!
It's a lot different than the Hollis Flea Market. LOL

Thanks for taking the time to write and share.

BTW, Do you happen to know what happened to all those VP machines in the "Birch" room at Mohegan Sun ?

I only know what happened to the $1.00 VP pick'em machines.

They moved them to to an area in front of the Hall of Lost Tribes (to the left of the bar that shows the vegas odds on sports betting).

As you may or may not know, they've stopped giving points on any video poker higher than 99.17%, which inlcludes 8/5 Bonus Poker, 9/6 Jacks, and FP Pick'Em.

I used to go at minimum once a month and in the summer once a week, but since they stoped giving points on any playable games, I haven't gone in nearly 6 months. I guess I'll have to go at some point if only to cash in my remaining old points or just to play a minimum amount to protect my old points from expiring.

Thanks ST.

Like you, I've cut my CT casino trips down.

Got a letter a couple of weeks ago from Foxwoods about points now only being good for a year, yada, yada, yada.
Unless you go and play a lot, one cannot accrue enough points to "buy" anything significant.
My opinion, .............. it's not a good move on their part.

Though it's a coin machine, it's a great value and I've won more than lost at them (knowing the right strategy is critical - holding a one-gap straight instead of a high card). My favorite game.

FYI, majority of the Pick em machines at Fremont (8 out of 10) are not coin machines, but TITO.

Questions: Did you have to wait in two separate lines at CC and Slots-a-fun for the wincard deals? We're you able to combine your win card chips at CC/Slotsafun and play them all at one casino? Same for Luxor and MB...can you play the Luxor chips at MB? Just wondering.

Slot-A-Fun no longer has the Wincard deals because they no longer have table games to play them at. So you can get both deals at CC at the same time starting at the CC Player's Club. They will ask you if you'd like to do both deals and then they do the paperwork for both at the same time and then you pay for both ofthem and pick them both up at the cage and you can play both sets of chips at any CC table game.

Luxor has their own Wincard chip deal as does Mandalay Bay. So you have to buy them at each Casino separately. I forget which, but one of them is one stop shopping where you signup and pay for and get your chips all at the cage. At the other you signup at the Player's club and then take your voucher to the cage to pay for and get your chips.

Thanks for clarifying! I heart wincards
Thanks for your report. Seems you are from my neck of the woods!!! We just got a deal on Southwest out of Manchester for October. First time we have been back in 2 years, so I am very excited.

We don't go to Mohegan or Foxwoods very often at all. I do spend a bit of time at Twin River though. I am helping to support Rhode Island, till we get our own casinos in MA.

I've never been to Twin River as I'm mostly a video poker player and Twin River doesn't have VP with decent paytables

Rhode Island probably needs your money as it has the highest unemployment rate in New England and it lost quite a few bucks on their investment in Curt Schilling's video game company that recently went out of operation.
