Short TR part 1

Just a few notes on the first part of my 9 days in Vegas.

First 2 nights at the Trop. The most accurate description I can give is awesome! The place is really nice. Kinda small, but just right for my taste. The new player signup promo is easy to use. Got my butt kicked the first night, but turned the $100 free play into a $400 profit yesterday! In my 2 days there, every single person I came in contact with was over the top nice and helpful. They seem to being trying hard to make it very customer friendly. I booked a paradise suite for $99 a night thru the (I think) suite experience promo. To my surprise, a host comped 1 night on departure. I was not expecting that. Overall, one of the best stays I've ever had in Vegas. I had a great time and came away with a decent profit. Awesome!

I moved to Palace Station this morning for the next 3 nights. Had Fri and Sun booked comp, and $29 Sat. Found out at check in that it was a $15 per night charge to "upgrade" to a smoking room. Are you serious? So bush league.

Well anyway, I'll post the results of the next few days later. Hope there's not to many screw ups in the typing, as alcohol has been involved!
thanks for the report so far!!! I paid a room fee of 15.00 a night at palace station as well, but it did include unlimited internet, high speed, so I was fine with it, it also includes the work out room, which was pretty nice and well used while we were there.

Enjoy your trip. good food at Pasta Palace........

A smoking room is an upgrade wtf. Were the smokes included?
LMAO boy have the tables turned you use to have to beg for a non-smoking room. Glad it went to smooth at the Trop. It is on my list to check out this visit.

I'm predicting that the Trop is soon to be the "in" place to be.
Kind of like back to old Vegas but in new clean bright surroundings.
There's just so much modern us old folks can stand! LOL

Glad you had a great time.
Thanks for this brief synopsis and congratulations on coming home with some nice winnings!

I'm looking forward to reading the actual report!

Stopped by the Trop on my December trip and was surprised at how small it was. I assume many more areas have been opened by now. Might have to check it out on a return trip........... still have a hard time getting over the memories of what a shirt hole it used to be.
I was in the Trop at the end of April for quick look. I really wanted to like place. I do like the look and feel of the renovations in the casino, although it is fairly small. Despite numerous visits to the players' club, I could not get the new member promo to work. After three tries I finally gave up and decided to play blackjack. I was there on a Friday morning around 10 a.m., and they only had a few tables open with the lowest table being a $10 table with no open spots. Several tables were closed and several $25 and up tables were empty. So I just left without gambling a dollar. I will give it another try once they get their act together. I hope they make it.
