While I haven't done any air travel since the shutdown began, reports are that airport security has only been minimally disrupted so far. I don't know if it's because they are "essential services" and will get paid no matter what, or they're working for free, or they're hanging on a Trump promise (a real dubious proposition) that they will get paid.
The only personal knowledge I have is from a friend who went from Denver to San Diego on business last week. He said there were no delays insofar as getting through security to the gates was concerned. But then, it was midweek. Thanksgiving might be much different.
One thought I have is that if there are massive flight cancellations, as Trump has threatened/contemplated/read on his Ouija board, but airport security remains staffed, it might be far easier to get through checkpoints than normal. Assuming your flight hasn't been canceled, of course.
