... just curious, how did the staff at the D react? did they seem alarmed or seriously concerned? or did they seem to want to keep it hush hush and hurry you to another room? if it was not a comped room, it should have been after that. they put you at serious risk even though you ultimately dodged the bullet. they should be showering you with love to keep you from giving them bad reviews.

HI Bonnie! Enjoyed your trip report, and especially all the great pictures! The suite at Ballys looks very nice! It's great that you gave found a compatible travel companion! Thanks for the Lyft information, may give it a try on my next trip in January, as I am staying six nights on the strip, but would like to spend some time downtown, especially since the gambling is better there (they say anyway)!

I presume that to use Lyft one needs an IPhone, or smart phone, or whatever.
I also am a technological hold out...I too only have a flip phone.

Really enjoyed your photos and detailed "doings."
You get a lot of milage out of a Vegas trip, that is for certain. Thanks for sharing.

Lyft worked with an Ipad and a flip phone...lol.

The people at the D seemed pretty calm.
Just "Oh no...we will move you right away."
That was it.
We told housekeeping too.
And yes..it was a comped room.
