Sooo Disappointed in GVR

Sionow - Yes, shame I didn't know you were at the Flamingo. I was solo myself, we coulda hung out and watched some football. I actually charged the Margarittaville bill to my room then used TR points to pay. Works like a charm!

Sue- Thanks for checking and confirming. I would have thought the casino host I spoke to would have been aware of this, but who knows?

I did receive a reply letter from GVR in response to my poor rating on their survey. It was from an assistant hotel manager saying she was disappointed to hear about my problems. She offered to personally handle my reservation the next time. I'm sure normal hotel guests who just want to use the facilities and rooms will be more than pleased here, but gamblers who want to make max use of their coupons and comps won't be thrilled with the disconnect between the casino and hotel. I'm looking forward to using my points at RR (Love that place!) or would like to try Aliante sometime. By the way, my Dollar courtesy van driver who tagged GVR staff as "snooty" and Harrahs as "welcoming" said he loves Aliante and the treatment there!
I've always found Aliante to be very welcoming. Perhaps, because it's newer, farther away and has to try harder? Just a thought.
Remember GVR is only part owned by Stations. No excuse for the way you were treated for sure. Also true the rewards center can not ropint up the buffet coupons. Sue herself told me at the Aliante this past year.
Mike, Aliante is also only part-owned by Stations. That's no excuse for poor customer service or untrained team members. The service at Aliante is far better than at GVR. Everyone is friendly and helpful. No "snootiness" here, lol.

But it's still true that the rewards center cannot reprint buffet coupons that are sent in the mail to out-of-towners. These are sent by the hotel, not the casino. The only buffet coupons we can reprint are the 2-for-1 coupons locals get in their monthly calendar mailers.
