SUMMER AT THE BELLAGIO

I Stayed at the Bellagio June 28 to July 1 - When I arrived the check in was very quick, which I appreciate after a long flight. I found all aspects of the service from all departments at the Bellagio to be impeccable.

After check in - I proceeded to my room to drop off my luggage. The rooms are upscale from a normal hotel room. They are larger with ample seating with many amenities. One feature I liked was there are light switches by the bed as well as electric curtain controls. After a brief rest I decided to explore – I have stayed at the Bellagio before but I find that it continually changes - If you have not been to the Bellagio it is a huge property with much to offer. My first stop was the conservatory – which changes seasonally – this trip was a whimsical theme with the Liberty Bell with an eagle on top for July 4 and a small Ferris wheel and merry- go round, along with a beautiful display of assorted plants and flowers. I highly recommend seeing this display – great photo opportunity.

Another great photo opportunity is the fountains – there are many great photo angles – my favorite is at the top of the Eifel tower across the street at the Paris Hotel – (check for coupons) .

My next stop was the lobby to see the center piece in the ceiling of glass flowers – they are exquisite. One thing that becomes very clear very quickly is the Bellagio is very crowded and very busy.

After gambling for a couple of hours I decided to try the buffet – I have stayed at the Bellagio before but had never eaten at the buffet (to crowded). I found it to be excellent – multiple choices of different kinds of food – my problem with a buffet is – How much food can you eat – the variety is the appeal.

I spent the rest of the day into the night gambling – All though the Bellagio is crowded I did not have any problem selecting any game or slot machine I wanted to play.

That evening I opted for a snack - two places I tried which fit the bill for a light snack are Café Gelato and Palio. I recommend both depending on what you like to eat.

The next day I ate breakfast at the Buffett. To me breakfast is the best meal of the day. The Buffett at the Bellagio for breakfast can be summed up by saying – you name it they got it – and all of it is delicious .
The rest of the day I spent gambling – I found the slots to be profitable – The quarter and dollar machines paid better but as we all know this is subjective and it is a matter of preference.
That evening I ate at the Café Bellagio which has a large, varied menu – good food, quick service.
The remainder of the trip was spent gambling – overall I came out a little ahead, which makes the ride home more enjoyable.
One more point of interest worthy of mentioning is the production O. I saw this production on a previous visit and I thought it was spectacular. I found it to be spellbinding. I sat in the second row of the balcony, sort of in the center. Even though you are further from the stage you get a better perspective of the entire show and venue. I think the tickets were between $100.00 and $120.00.
Finally, one of the things I like – there is no charge to print a boarding pass and there were multiple terminals and printers available to do so.
See you next time.
