Finally it was time for our summer trip, this makes 30+++ trips to Las Vegas and we cant wait for the next one. We have styed at just about every place on the strip over the years and several downtown. We no longer like downtown, never did really but would stay for offers.
So the last several years Bellagio has been home and will continue to be. Since we have sworn off downtown we have been trying several off strip properties, last year it was M, this year we stayed at Red Rock for a couple days before heading to Bellagio.
Red Rock was fantastic. Great property, very clean. It has become one of our favorite places. We just had a standard room on a comp offer. It was very nice. The pool complex was also very enjoyable.
We love buffets and Red Rocks is a very good buffet for the money and we had several 241 coupons so even better. The only complaint is the line system. I have no problem with higher rollers getting line cuts however at Red Rock the regular line does not move!!!! Once you are in the buffet the service is great. Even when no one is in the other line, the cashiers just ignore the other people. It was amazing and very frustrating.
The casino was very nice, all the new games and the old favorites. Smoke did not seem to be a problem, I hate smokey casinos.
The gym was small but very clean and well maintained.
Overall we enjoyed the property and will stay there again.
We went through the Red Rock Canyon. For $7 a car you can drive through the canyon and it was beautiful.
You can also get out and hike on several trails however it was 108 so we just drove.
Next stop Bellagio. This is our favorite property by far. We had a beautiful suite, comped and food and beverage, comped. As always service was second to none. We for some reason always do well gambling at Bellagio and once again we both came out ahead, not retirement ahead but ahead.
Bellagio has the best gym of all the properties we have stayed at and they always keep it up to date and for those who love to workout it is great to be able to do so before hitting the buffets.
Like I said we love buffets and Bellagios is still one of if not the best.
The conservatory had a "under the Sea" theme and it may be the best one yet. We love the Christmas display but this one was spectacular.
Observations:
Enough with the Tatoos people. I admit I do not nor have I ever wanted one. My wife has a couple but it is out of control. I know I am just an old fart but seriously!
Who ever designed the car rental facility did a great job. As long as you are a member of who evers club and can skip the counters it is so easy to get your car and go!
Damn scooter people!!! I think its great they make scooters for those who need them, the disabled, so they can enjoy the huge properties but use some manners! Just because you have a scooter does not give you the right to run through crowds, pushing people out of the way. sorry I got rode up on three times by pushy scooter people, who all by the way were not disabled, just enormous!
