Thanks to the many of you inquiring about this year's trip report.
After the Summer of 55 followed by the Cross Country Casino Run and then the Hit 'em All Nevada, I thought I'd take a break for a summer from some major themed trip.
However, my retirement turned into "semi-retired" status as I was asked to come back a couple of days a week to continue teaching drama. Then, two weeks ago, the Spanish teacher up and quit leaving the district in a pickle (we're very small) and asked me to long-term sub until the end of the year. So, I'm back to full time for five weeks...and no...I don't speak of word of Spanish, which is another story.
So, I just can't seem to stay away and have decided to just to an extended Vegas/Laughlin trip with a little Mesquite in there for a bit. After rounding up all my comps and discounted rooms (ahhh...the days when I could comp everything...), I was able to piece together a fairly long trip. I still have a couple of holes to fill considering I want to stay long enough for the ECLVA annual MPT meet in August.
So, here's what I have so far:
July 1 to July 2: Riverside, Laughlin (comp + $5 gift card)
July 2 to 5: - Las Vegas Hotel (formerly Hilton). $99 for three nights with buffets and July 4th party invite.
July 6 to 9: - Laughlin (slot tournament - comp)
July 10 to 13: - Back home for dental appointment.
July 13 to 15: - Laughlin (another tournament offer - comp)
July 15 to 17: - Silverton (comp with $25 free play)
July 17 to 19: - Laughlin (poker tournament - comp)
July 19: - Main Street Station (had to pay discounted room rate here...ugh!)
July 20 to 22: Candlewood Suites ($75 rebate from Holiday Inn Express VIP Club)
July 22 to 24: - South Point (comp)
July 24 to 25: - Harrahs (Summer Splash VP tournament - comp)
July 25 to 27: - M Resort (2 nights for $70 + comp buffet and $20 free play)
July 27 to 29: - Sam's Town with $10 food (comp)
July 29: Suncoast (comp)
July 30 to Aug 2: Orleans ($99 slot tournament, 3 nights, food comp)
Aug 2: Suncoast (comp)
Aug 3 to 5: Sam's Town (comp and $10 food)
Aug 5: Silverton (comp and $25 free play)
Aug 6 to 8: Harrahs (Another Summer Splash Tournament [slots] - comp)
Aug 17 to 20: Fly to Denver and re-visit a favorite casino destination, Black Hawk/Central City.
As you can see, nothing special here. Don't know if I should bother with the usual day-to-day trip reports as they would no doubt simply re-hash what I've said so many times in the past.
Again, thank you for your interest. (Big Sigh) Vegas--here we go again!
