This was our first time visiting LV during Thanksgiving. We arrived at Harrah's on Tuesday about 1pm and were checked in within ten minutes. We had dinner at Mirage Cravings buffet and then saw Beatles Love (which was fantastic) both compliments of MyVegas.
Wednesday started with breakfast at Cravings buffet (MyVegas) and then took the bus to Fremont St. We played blackjack at Binion's and then used all downtown free slot play coupons . Dinner was at Hash House A Go Go at the Linq. The food there is good and the portions are huge! Then on to see Human Nature at Venetian. They are amazing performers - new songs are added frequently so the show is always fresh.
Finished the night playing slots at Casino Royale.
Thursday we started the day at Battlefield Vegas, which is run by military veterans. They provide transporation to and from the facility in a humvee. We had a groupon deal where you could shoot a handgun and two machinge guns. It was a lot of fun! Then we headed to Ellis Island for some slots and turkey dinner. That night we saw the show All Shook Up. The show was entertaining but I'm glad we used the LVA coupon.
General thoughts - the strip got very crowded by Thanksgiving day. We used Lyft for all our rides and it worked well. My husband enjoyed $3 bottles of beer at Casino Royale - plus we did OK on the slots there. We broke even for the trip. The weather was great. Overall a good time!
