Trip report 10-19 to 10-23

We flew Allegiant round trip for 196 for both of us all in.  Rental car was from Stix for 207 all in for a luxury car.  We got a Mercedes crossover which was really nice, but was hard to figure out all the stuff in the dark at pick up.  Gear shift on the wiper, and couldn't find the volume on the radio until the morning.   We got in around midnight, and first night was comped at Sunset Station with 75 free play.  We decided to go down and  and get one drink and play a little and get some waters for the room.. The new sportsbook bar is really nice, and we were both hitting pretty good. The wife hit 2- 6 spots and 3- 5 spots  on dimes, and I turned my free play into 90 bucks playing VP and then held my own playing 4 card Cleopata.  One drink turned into 4 and we played until about 3am

Monday we were up pretty early and checked out by 930.  We found the volume on the car was a roller on the consule, not on the flat screen.  and to put the car in park was a button on the end of the wipers.  Breakfast was at Emerald Island using our 2 for 1 LVA coupon.  We both did the simple 2 egg breakfast special with hashbrowns and bacon and biscit, mine with gravy. and a watermelon slice.  Everything was just ok this time, and everyones meal kind of looked just ok as well.  It is usually very good.  Paid with points, and went to the Rainbow Club to play.  No big wins today, but we both got enough points for the free gift.  We popped into the Pass and played 20 to say hello. The wife kissed hers goodbye and I broke even.  For awhile the Pass would give us Free play and food credit, but not much this last 9 months so we have not played much there. I called Railroad Pass and Samones steakhouse has reopened after the remodel, and still has the good date night special for 50 bucks.

We had enough of the smoke so headed to Green Valley Ranch to Play for awhile before checking in for 3 nights comped with 200 free play and 50 food credit.  We did our live keno way tickets multiple times this trip just playing 10 spots at a quarter a way.  No luck, probably spent a hundred and cashed out 40.  Our room was great as always, and the west tower should be open next month after a makeover.  We got our drink on at the bars staying about even.  Dinner was at Boteglia for happy hour.  We did the ceasar salad and meatballs with the bread and a cab .  All very good and used our food credit

They have taken out some of the pot games and were bringing in a bunch of the new spookey mummy games.  We played for a few more hours, but nothing was hitting, so we called it an early night down a little, and very tired.   I will try to post more tomorrow

It always seems like when you want to call it an early night the first night in, that it drags out until the early morning.  I also tell myself I won't drink very much........  Enjoying the trip report, as always.   Hope it turns out to be a profitable trip for you guys.

Tuesday we had some light pastrys for breakfast comped.  We thn cashed a couple nice sports book bets, and made some new ones along with live keno.  We then headed to the Orleansfor 10 times points day for Boyd.  Played mostly slots and had some good hits, but the wife didn't  Lunch was Odri for some good chinese food with our 20 dollar food comp.

We then hoppd over to the Gold Coast to play some bingo with the free blur pack offer. Nice room with some bigger payouts, but no luck.  We each had 20 dollars free play.  The wife had fun on the major multipliers vp, but lost and I cashed out a little playing 3 way action poker.

We then went to the Durango and played at the bars and on the floor with no big hits, but we had fun trying. We decided to try the Rubios on rainbow for the fish taco special on tuesdays.  They were bigger and a little cheaper than at the casinos, but the balance wasn't quite there.  Maybe they had a bad night with the carnival next door.  Just okay.

We then headed back to Green Valley for the night.  We played pretty hard at the bars, and had a nice hit on a new spookey mummey game they just put in that morning for 120 bucks.  The wife made a little on the hot pots and I hit a little on Cleopatra single line before calling it a night

       I will post more tomorrow

Wednesday we got up feeling a little rough and had some lite pastrys comped and then cashed out a couple small wins in the sports book and made a few more bets.  We then settled in on some new super hot roll machines and had a great session playing nickles.  Lots of multipiers playing jacks  and bonus poker but all the others we got nothing.  I hit a straight flush times 10, and quad 8s times 11 to name just a few. And the wife was having the same on her machine.  I think she flopped quad 10s with a 12 x on all the lines.

Lunch was at the cafe where we actually split the lucky 3 way breakfast.  Very good and hit the spot.  Free with our food credit.  We then had a few mimosa at the bar with nothing hitting.  Back on the floor I found a 5+2 video poker machine that I had been watching and had a fun session with the same expierence with Jacks and bonus poker hitting and when I would switch games I would get killed.  Ended up a little and the Wife had a great session on bonus streak x Playing10 play and ended up a hundy.

We then headed over to Boulder Station to play .  We had not been here for awhile, and liked the new bar area cafe combo.  They also have a very large non smoking area that seemed pretty good.  The bathrooms over there really need an upgrade.   I hit a nice bonus on a hot pots game, and then we both jumped back on the super hot roll games.  I was holding my own, but everytime I moved machines the wife would jump on my old machine and get a big hand like flopping quad 2s x 11.  I  also had a good session playing 3.

way action poker hitting quad 2s on the draw with the kicker

Dinner was at the Broiler Room  for half point day, We split the chopped salad, and the wife had the salmon for 34 which came with  mashed potatoes and asparagus.  I had the filet for 44 and came with a loaded baker or your choice of side..  They do have the great salad bar back open, and is only 10 bucks .  We thought we might be too full to eat our meal so the smart play for us was to split the chopped for 12 bucks   Everything was very good and we were stuffed.  Probably the best steakhouse in Vegas.

After dinner we headed back to Green Valley Ranch for the night.  Things were pretty busy, and the supper hot rolls were no longer paying out.  We hit the bars with no big wins and called it an early night

I will post more tomorrow

Thursday we had breakfast at the cafe with the last of our food credit, and then checked out.  We then went back in and played at the bars and had a few mimosa.  Both of us cashed a few wins in the sports book and made a few bets to bring back next time. The super times hot roll were not hitting , so we just hopped around the casino until it was time to head to the airport.  We got a couple Capriotti subs for lunch and ate half and took the other half for the plane.

Dropping off at Stix was quick and easy, and there was no lines for the bus or at the airport.  Flight home was on time, but had an unruly kid in front of us, and then her brother puked.  Fun time, but we made it.

We already have 2 more trips planned this year !

Nice quick trip.  Thanks for the report.  Good luck on your upcoming trips.  Happy Holidays!

Thanks for your reports, Brent Kline.  Didn't Capriotti have a Harrah's LV location back in the 1990s or so?  Harrah's had become our place before Bellagio location, and I recall an Italian eatery there that we liked a lot.  Can't remember when it closed.  Your TR made me think of it.

Thanks for report.Next time try the Rainbow cafe.LVA coupons. New nice booths, food good.

Thanks Patricia, we have one more coupon left for there and we do like it better than Emerald Island.  Both are usually good, and sometimes we get free food coupons in the mail on top of the LVA coupons

Stefanos was the restaurant. I ate there a number of times and loved it. I miss that place.
