Arrived in LV on Saturday night - car rental from Advantage - no line, no problems. Straight to Flamingo where we had reserved a Go Luxury with strip view (comped). Room was 20106 - 20th floor with view of Caesar's Palace fountains. Room was directly above Margaritaville so we "thumped" until about 5:00 a.m. - made sleeping almost impossible. The room also had no bath tub. Ate at Hash House at Imperial Palace with restaurants.com $25.00 certificate - food was great, however, their AC was not working and was hot as everything in there. Went to Flamingo and starting playing various slots - lost about 300.00 each and decided to call it a night - it is about 1:00 a.m. now........get to room and it is "thump, thump, thump all night long - think we finally fell asleep about 6:00 a.m., oh well.
Get up on Sunday a.m. and head over to Arizona Charlies to use 60.00 each in free play. Ate at the Sourdough Cafe - steak and eggs special for 3.99. Can't beat it for the price. Played the free play off and left up about 50.00 each. Out to Silverton next. I really like Silverton, is laid back, huge selection of games and we never have a problem parking. No huge wins or losses, but we earned enough points to get a gift each of a flexible screwdriver and we ate the buffet mid afternoon using the coupon from the book, our server was the absolute worst, took us about 20 minutes to get drinks and then only because I went and told a hostess that we had been waiting.... -then, over to Terrible's next to use the 100.00 MRO - my husband ended up winning 340.00 on his 100.00 in and I broke even, so no huge deals here for us. Ended up eating in Terrible's cafe - not great, but not too bad - steak and eggs again. Back to the thumping at Flamingo!!
Monday a.m. - up and out about 9:00 a.m. and used the coupon for breakfast at Flamingo buffet. Everything fresh, a little bit of a line, but not too bad and then off to the south end of the strip. Parked at Planet Hollywood and crossed the street. Went into the Cosmopolitan, and all I can say is WOW........this place is beautiful with a capital B.......very, very classy. Everyone in the place introduces themselves to you by name and caters to about anything you could ever want. This is my new favorite place!!! Left Cosmo and went to NYNY, Excalibur, Luxor and then back to Planet HOllywood to check in. No issues at check in - opted for NO strip view, checked out room and was small, but nice with a soaking bathtub!!! Hallelujah!!! Went to Flamingo to check out..........room had not been touched all day - it was 5:00 p.m. at this point. Was really, really happy that we had double booked!!! Back to PHo - Picked up sandwiches at Earl of Sandwich and stayed in room.........ahhhh, finally, a little peace and quiet!!!
Tuesday, had breakfast buffet at Paris with 10.00 off coupon. Was okay, nothing really special. Walked around Paris and played there for a little while. Decided to take shuttle to Rio, wait, shuttle has been moved to Bally's..........crud, more walking (my feet are KILLING me). Finally, get to Ballys - find the shuttle - get over to Rio - play at Rio with nothing big again (seeing a pattern here?) end up using 2/1 coupon and eating at Rio buffet. Not the quality it has been in the past, kinda disappointed. Back to Ballys, then PHo for the night. I was concerned after reading reviews that I would not like Planet Hollywood, however, we both really liked it there and would stay there again. The casino had a lot of energy and everyone was pleasant. We toured the Miracle Mile shops where I got a massage in the middle of the mall on my feet and bought a new pair of Reefs!!! Ahhh...........feet much better!!
Wednesday a.m. - flying home - breakfast at Buffet with 10.00 off coupon........really surprised....very good quality, everything fresh, best buffet we had in LV this time. checked out - off to South Point for a little while and then to the airport. We didn't win much of anything, but had loads of fun and needed this getaway. My husband has been working 7 days a week, 12 hours a day for the past 33 days straight and will be going back to more of the same. I am a full time nursing student with little to no spare time who was on spring break!!! I am starting to make my plans to be back in Vegas in June!!! See ya then!!
