We had seen the pool area before but never stayed there. Not sure what little things you are referring to, but we didn't notice anything. The only negative was that our room was a looong way from the elevators and casino. I wish there were coffee makers in the rooms, but the bed was very comfortable, the room itself as well as the bathroom were very nice, and the maid service was prompt and our request for extra towels was met immediately. The resort fee was halved on our offer, and the internet connection worked just fine, and the daily paper was always on our door knob. We don't use room service or partake of any of the snacks available in the room fridge, so I can't comment on those items. We don't play enough at any one place to be comped for anything, so we try to take advantage of any mailers etc that come our way. We would jump at the chance to stay here again if the same offer should come our way.

In my eye, you noticed quite a few little things. Thanks for the update. Skewed and depressing reviews (a la tripAdvisor), tend to sway my opinion a little too much. Jumped at the chance on a grope-on for $65 + $25 per day (oh, + tax) and whatever else they could wrench from my wallet. I booked four nights and after three days, chicken'd out and went with something else.
Hopefully, I'll try to pull off a TR of my LV experiencia coming up June 7-14th.
Thank you for the details. Still have to check it out. In the day of its origin, GVR was a sight to behold. Many mentions on da 'net' about being a local's place first and foremost. Pix of poor quality (one guy put up about 20 pix as if he were a home / hotel building inspector), stains, cracks, and un repaired areas just tend to put me off.
TY!
