Excellent report! Was hoping to hear you had a meal at Lucille's in the District, but BBQ may not be your thing.

Sounds like you did it all...great food, great shows, and even managed a profit.

Congrats!

Thanks for the report.

I like BBQ and had heard it was good, but we seemed to mostly eat inside the Casino at the Grand Cafe while at GVR, as it was surprisingly good . Not sure if that is true at the other Grand Cafe's at the other Station Casinos. We also did eat at the Cheesecake factory in the District, since we knew it would be a "safe" choice and I had some gift certificates someone had given me. Also, we like to have pizza once during the week and most of the pizza I have had in Vegas such as Metro Pizza in Ellis Island and the pizza Place at the Venetian casino food court had been uninspiring.

Then I tried Settebello's a couple years ago when they first opened in the GVR district, and that has become my go-to place for pizza when in teh Vegas area.

But, next trip I'll try to do a BBQ meal adn I'll keep Lucille's in mind as I have heard from others as well it was real good. The other place for BBQ that has also had good references is Ellis Island.

If you know firsthand, how does Lucille's BBQ compare to Ellis Island's BBQ?

Thanks for the great report--well played trip! I saw Terry Fator in August and except for the crummy seats in the 2nd row and waaaaaaayyyyyy to the left of the stage, really enjoyed his whole show. I think the only non-stop flight from Boston now is Jet Blue, and that red-eye home always sounds good when booking, but is a bear to recoup from (showing my age, I guess). Have you noticed that Foxwoods lately has some really good comps (i.e 2 free mid-week rooms at Two Trees and almost free at the others), promotions and slot play for, at least in my experience, not much play. Anyhoo, I digress! thanks again for taking the time to share...
