That's still true, but sadly, not as much as it used to be. Hosts now have severe limits on "discretionary comps." And in the pit--a floorman could write you a dinner comp without hesitation or fanfare. Now, the computer has to give permission...
David's advice is sound, though. Ask! All they can do is have you beaten up and tossed out into the parking lot.

Thanks for that info. We plan on doing our coupon run on the Tuesday we are in town, so it would be fantastic if the DG is doing a slot tourney on that day.
Unless someone else mentioned it, they close those road with gates at the top of the hour [6 pm - 2 am] during the Fremont Light Show and reopen 10 minutes later.

Thanks for the information on the closing. I had never run into that before and will avoid the area during those times in the future. The attitude of the security personnel frosted my A$$, if he had taken 30 seconds to explain it to me I would have understood.
Not too many MENSA members working security downtown thought.
