Left Milwaukee on Southwest Airlines on a cold and frosty day. Arrived in LV to temperatures of 80+ degrees for our entire stay. Gambling was a sports bet on the WI Badgers on Sunday, Feb. 15 which my husband won and it kept him happy our entire stay. Brought the mother-in-law (87 years young) and uses a walker. She only plays slots. Played at the Santa Fe Station one day and played on some kind of dragon bonus machine where she won about $70. That was her biggest win during the trip. Not for lack of trying on her part. Had the buffet at Santa Fe Station and it was just O.K. Price was right though. Went to Chicago Joe's for dinner another evening and had a great meal. The three of us dined on their veal marsala, lasagna and their warm and freshly baked bread and a salad. Bill with drinks and dinner for 3 ppl came to about $100 w/tip. Food was very tasty. Also went to Ellis Island one afternoon and played some slots there and enjoyed the 3 drinks for 2 people coupon from the LV Advisor. Ate dinner at the BBQ restaurant there. Used the coupon and paid about $18.00 for dinner for 3 ppl. Ribs were delicious fall off the bone good. Sides were so-so. Also played at Golden Nugget one evening. Husband and I played pai-gow to no avail. Couldn't get a hand to save our lives. Had fun though and talked with some interesting people. Watched the Fremont Street Experience. Trip was too short. Will have to stay longer next time because we didn't get to do half the things we wanted to. Back to Milwaukee this past Wednesday to temps of -8 and that was the high for the day. Will be back in April for more fun in the sun. Maybe we can win this time!!??
