Enjoyed reading your first three days. We will be in Vegas soon, staying at Main Street Station and I drink Michelob Ultra Light. Also, my wife plays the degenerate penny slots. Small world isn't it. Since you mentioned it, I am now concerned about the loud train noise. Does this go on all night? I wonder if there might be a quite side at MSS. Does anyone know?

Well I haven't stayed at MSS, but I do stay at Plaza and I do hear trains, but at least they don't blow horns, but you may be able to hear them moving. I don't mind looking at the trains going by and my friend who I usually go with loves watching them roll by.

I can't really ever remember myself being awakened by the trains coming by, but I can definitely be a heavy sleeper at times.

What promotion was that at the El COrtez? If you withdraw $400 from an ATM they give you $20 in free slot play? Were there any other conditions?

I can't believe you walked all the way from the Riviera to NYNY.

This is a promotion mentioned in one of the previous LVAs which is that El Cortez will give people 5% in Freeplay up to $50 when you make a Withdrawal from their ATM (you get the $50 in Freeplay if you withdraw $1,000) and then take the receipt to I think the Slot Club booth. If you want to do this any more than once, if I'm remembering correctly, you have to earn some points (maybe 1,000 or more first before doing it again -- but I don't know in what time period that is).

You can try to check in an earler LVA or through El Cortez for more information on this! Or maybe someone else here knows more about this promotion. I'm pretty sure that I remember seeing a thread in one of these boards about that promotion.

Thanks Paige for the great reports. We too are from WI and travel quite often to Vegas. Home away from home! Thanks for sharing all of the little tidbits and pictures.
