Vegas feb 15th to 19th

We flew Allegaint nonstop for  178 total for both of us all in.  Rental car was with Payless for 170 total for a full size.  We were given a nice buick encore.  We then headed to The Martini for the  Great Steak special all day sunday.  8 oz filet , mashed potatoes and asparagus.  We had a couple nice glasses of cab as we ate and played.  Great meal and is always nice when the bartenders remember you

We then stopped by the Durango and played for a while . We both cashed out a couple nice sports book tickets from the last trip, and made a couple bets for later.  I did hit the new huff n puff for a nice win.  No other big wins or losses.

Next stop was Green Valley Ranch for 3 comped nights with 50 food credit and 125 free play..  These new remodeled rooms are so nice .  We got our drink on and played pretty hard, but managed to be in bed by 11 with the bankroll intact.

Monday we were a little slugish.  We slept in and had some rolls from the vip room for breakfast. We both hit our sports book bets from the night before and made a couple more bets. We got our live keno way tickets, and hitthe floor. The wife had to play bonus streak so I tried to play games close to her.  Lots of quads for both of us.  We spllit a sub from capriotti for lunch, and then took a nap. Feeling refreshed we repeated the mourning session and then had breakfast for dinner in the cafe using our food credit .  We split the lucky 3 way and it was purfect.  Played at the bars and watched the games  and turned in early down a little for the day.

Tuesday we had  rolls again from the vip room for breakfast and  made some sports book bets.  Cashed out our keno tickets down 12 bucks..   We then headed to Gold Coast to play on 10 times multiplier day.  The wife played bonus streak and I played 3 way action and hundred play.  We had 15 free play and 10 food credit.  We planed to eat at Ping Pang Pong , but the wait was way too long. .  I hit Aces and 4s on 3 way action, and the wife lost a little.

Next stop was Resorts World for lunch.  We had 60 free play and 10 food credit.  We split the club at the Dogjouse, and it was very good.  We had a couple nice hits on Mo Mo Mo Mummy, and played a while at the bar.  We wanted to walk over to Fontonblea, but it was cold and windy the whole week.  Also passed on Elis Island and headed back to Green Valley Ranch to watch the games.  We ate at Botiglia for happy hour and had the dollar oysters and ceasar salad and meatballs.  all very good.  We got new  keno way tickets, but this time on the electronic game.  The live game has been cold.  We had a fun day and played about even and called it an early night.

     I will finish up tomorrow.

A nice couple of days so far.  Thanks for posting.

I hope Capriotti's is still as good as I remember. It was the best sandwich in Vegas pre-covid. Haven't been there since.

So true Kevin. Capriotti's is by far the best sandwich joint in Las Vegas. Love the Bobbie and the mushroom cheese steak. Fortunately there is one just a few miles from home. When we have a winning morning session we treat ourselves to a sub.

Oh yeah, the Bobbie. Thanksgiving dinner on a roll. Now you're making me want to hop in my car and drive 800 miles to get one.

Just looked up Capriotti's.  I am astonished to find that there is one a mere 30 miles away from me, north of Pittsburgh.  The Bobbie and the Capistrami are dead square in my sights!

Wed mourning we got up early and  did the cheap station breakfast before 6 am.  We did the American and pancakes, and it was huge. All neals here were paid with our food credit.   We then went back to the room and showered and got ready for the day.  Made some sports book bets and cashed out the keno way ticket for a nice profit, up 28 bucks  for the trip.  We hit the new huff n puff game for another nice win, and then  played on the floor .  The wife playing bonus streak and I played some x spin poker, and 3 way action poker.  We both had a winning session and then had to go check out.

After grabbing a couple rolls from the vip room  we headed to the Durango to play for the day, as we were getting 3 times points, and half price dining on wed.. The wife again played bonus streak, and I played hundred play and 3 way action.  We both had lots of quads but nothing big.  I hit 2 of the new huff n puffs again for a nice score.  Lunch was at Summer House, where we split the salmon salad.  It was very good and plenty for both of us.  Paid with half price points.  Played some more and then went back to Green Valley Ranch for a few drinks at the bar and watch some games  .  I made about 50 bucks playing 4 card cleopatra, and the wife lost a little playing 4 card keno.

About 630 we headed to Sunset Station for our last comped night.  Dinner was at  Cucina the italian place.  They had some 9.99 specials that were pretty good. The wife had the chicken alfredo and I had the shrimp scampi.  Both were pretty good, and lots of food.  Probably a 3 star place..  We played a little at the new bar and then the wife was back to bonus sreak and I dutifully played games next to her kissing for luck.  She was down to the last 2 machines for the night , and she drew a pair of queens, and 4 to the royal.  She tossed the extra queen and hit the royal, and a 2nd royal times 4.  She was pretty happy and that is 3 trips in a row she has gone home a winner  We got a couple waters at the bar to celebrate and called it an early night.

Thursday we were up at 430 to catch our 710 flight.  Rental return was quick and easy, and no lines for the shuttle.  No lines at the airport, and then some funny bussness started happening..  They closed all the bag scanners and then opened up ones on the other end, freezing everything for 15 min.  Then someone downstairs sent  a couple up with large suitcases to be run thought the small baggage scanners instead of cheaking them downstairs.  They were laughing  and curious if they would fit.  Then they shut down the scanner again and moved all the bags to the one next to it.  We still got though in about 25 minutes, but it seemed like they were having fun with the Dems shuting off funding for TSA.  Flight back was on time.

Brent, I know what your political affiliations are, but I have to tell you that "the Dems" were not responsible for the disruptions to TSA and did NOT "shut off funding for TSA." Even if you want to blame them for the shutdown, which is questionable at best (whose fault is it when one side refuses to make even a minor compromise?), it did NOT affect TSA, as it is considered an "essential service" and continues even during a complete shutdown. Trump ordered a TSA as well as many other essential services cessation of operations. He did so in order to punish the Democrats for not bending to his will --and lest you think I'm making that last part up, he used almost those exact words in his announcements.

Ironically, with visitation to Vegas and other vacation spots WAAAAY down, TSA was able to partially cope. They are by law obligated to work, even without pay, but that conflicted with Trump's order. So they had a lot of people calling in "sick," etc. And regional/airport managers could have obeyed Trump and just gone home. But most stayed on the job. Trump's stated goal was to bring all air travel to a halt and give him a pretext to blame Democrats for the disruptions.

And before anyone starts yeeping "Politics politics politics BOOOOOO," let me clarify that the TSA dysfunction is a travel issue, not a political issue.

Congrats on what sounds like a winning trip for both of you!
