Vegas march 22 to 26

If you get the bonus game, at least the old one, you choose an egg.  That egg has a certain number of Lemmings that will then run and jump off a cliff toward water.  Sometimes they get bounced off the water onto an adjacent moutain area with holes of various values that they land in.  Sometimes they are eaten by a killer whale and then you get to choose various items in the whale worth various values.  And finally the lemming can be bounced high into the air and accrue credits as it flies or gets a jet pack that skies it into the stratosphere for much bigger credits.  It's pretty dumb, but can be fun with the bonus game.

What was so wrong with your cousin's shoes?

I hope I don't hurt anyone's feelings, but those new Lemmings are butt ugly!  Real lemmings are rather cute.

I don't recall the old Lemmings game...same look?

Thanks to PJ for providing the link.  I watched it for a while.

Candy this is the 2nd time we have been turned away.  My cousin had sandels on and I knew it was a longshot to get in.  Last time I think my wife had a shirt that did not pass.  One of these times we are getting in !

Are you able to use Boyd's food from an offer without staying? I know you can use free play.

Lemming on the slot machine is like a hamster that kind of flies in the slot game.

Yes, no problem using food credit or free play at Boyd , Resorts World or the Steven's properties downtown even if you aren't staying there.  Pretty minimal play usually gets you something

That's part of why I don't play slots. The only real fun part is the bonus game, so most of the payoff is stuffed into that. While waiting to get it, you bleed and bleed and bleed trying to line up three or more identical symbols out of a batch of fifteen. When you do, you win five credits. Trouble is, you bet fifty.

I remember that when slot games with bonus rounds first came out, you got the bonus games far more frequently than you do now. The bonuses were on the average much smaller, but they of course had to be if they were frequent. The earliest Monopoly games, Gold Fish, etc. were a lot of fun.

You know why they killed those frequent bonus rounds games? While those games are playing out, you're not losing any money! 45 seconds of no profits for the casino? Can't have that!!

Does Boyd still a) give you nothing, no points at all, until you reach the second tier b) have a different point redemption value for free play than food comps?

I literally have not set foot in a Boyd casino since I got kicked down to Ruby Booby and found out that I would have to ran through $375,000 coin-in to get back to Sapphire and would earn ZERO points in the process. I flipped them the Boyd.

Yup.   We played at the Orleans and were getting NADA.  It even showed "0 points earned" on the screen.

what if you play during the YAH day only? Of course you need to be over 50, but some of the readers are.

I play during that multiplier day and then the return is not that bad. Although, I noticed that even during these days the Gold Coast (where I usually play) is quite deserted compared to 10 years back and that's sad. Even during Y-A-H the offers are ridiculous. The atmosphere was good when they had the buffet and food comps , the slot tournament and the point value for your play.

I wonder if the Cadent Casino in Henderson will get a part of the action from the Downtown Casinos (Henderson) with its great management and great promotions.
