Vegas May 11 through 14th, 2015

Left on Saturday, May 11th from Milwaukee on SWA on hubby's birthday. Two Vegas newbies joined us this trip (his cousins from Appleton). On the flight the steward somehow discovered it was hubby's birthday and gave free drinks to us the entire flight (all four of us). That was a win-win. Hubby got more than half-in the bag; I had to watch it because I was the DD. Arrived in Vegas early...must have had a tailwind. Hubby wanted to make a bet on the Detroit Tigers (is favorite team) for tomorrow so we stopped at Santa Fe Station before heading to the house. Dropped off our luggage and then proceeded to party-hardy for the rest of the evening. Sunday was a blur for me because I had housekeeping to do...we hadn't been there for several months. Hubby watched his game and WON (hello win column and $500 claims!) We are actually ahead for the trip now. The newbies had fun lounging around in the warm weather (high 80's) and enjoying the fresh air and sunshine of Las Vegas. It was newbies anniversary on Sunday so we had reservations at Hugo's Cellar. It did not disappoint. They were very happy with their meal as were we. Then we decided to hit the Strat for some more cocktailing and sightseeing. Another long evening in Vegas. Monday we had our pool guy come over because we had to put a new pool cleaner in. That took a good portion of the day so we lounged around some more and hit the casinos at night. Also had the buffet at the M-Resort that evening. WOW: what a menu! Didn't know where to start and where to finish. We all got thoroughly stuffed and did the penguin dance out of there. Hubby and I love Pai Gow poker and this was the only day we really had a chance to play because we wanted to spend most of the time with the cousins. I actually won some that evening and was up about $300. Hubby kept taking my money or I would have won much more. Tuesday we again lounged around the pool and then had the neighbors over for a steak dinner. We cooked on the grill and the wind outside was reaching Wisconsin speeds and cold. We had to wear our sweatshirts and jackets that evening. Cousins didn't gamble much at all but still had a ball. Sure did enjoy our time with them. Left to go back on Wednesday morning back to the Wisconsin cold. Sorry this is so boring but its the best I could do.
You did fine. Anytime we get to read about some's experiences it is enjoyable. Go Tigers!!
Not boring at all. Another good word about Hugo's, so that is a must do for us...some day.

Nice of SWA to make it happy hour for hubby's birthday. Love SWA.

Thanks for the TR.

Good job, enjoyed it

I'm confused.

Did you drive a Delorean and travel to the future? As far as I know June 11 through June 14th 2015 is more than a month into the future? How'd you get there?

Maybe you're just a woman ahead of your time. If so could you tell some of the biggest stock increases from May 1st 'til June 15th. Also who won the Stanley Cup, the NBA Championship, and the Kentucky Derby?

Thanks,

ST
Thank you very much for the report! For me, no report about being in LV is boring -- especially when at least some casino gaming is involved!

Nice going on the baseball and Pai Gow wins!

It sounded like a very nice family vacation and that was very nice of the airline to comp you guys drinks for your husband's birthday!

You must own property there?? Quite a hike from Wisconsin for a weekend get away home!! Thanks for the report. I love the weather there, and when we leave from a cold part of the USA it's all the better!!

Too funny!
sounds like a good time. I too, love pai gow. was in vegas 04/29-05/05 and this was the worst time I have ever had with it pai gow. played for hours and hours at GC and Orleans and couldn't hit anything. even at a full table for hours, no one was getting any monster hands. so when I go back to vegas in august, I hope they make it up to me. and I assume you meant april 11th? or could u tell me where and when the $5 wheel of fortune progressive is going to hit?
Yes, it was April 11th - 15th; sorry for the confusion.
