Kudos to you and your wife for all that walking.
It is nice to hear about some different properties.
Good luck!

Nice report! Good luck in the tourney.
Thanks for the report!!!
Appreciate the well wishes.
Saturday Evening. Played the last round, which was my worst one of tournament. Wife did a little better.
The dinner celebration was nice. It was a plated dinner. Mango salad with cilantro lime vinegarette to start. Main course was a nice piece of steak and cod. Baby carrots, brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes on the side. Dessert was a really rich chocolate cake. They also had an open bar. They had a band playing the entire time. We left after the announcements of the winners, which we weren't. I ended up getting $200 in slot play. Played high limit Mo Mummy and cashed out $400.
We decided to head back to the room and get a good nights sleep.

Saturday, Nov. 16- Left the time share and headed to the Westgate monorail station. We bought the 24 hour pass yesterday, so still had some time on it. Headed to Sahara to pick up our freeplay and use our dining credits for breakfast. Wife had the breakfast skillet and I had the sausage omelette. Both were very good and my wife couldn't finish hers, there was so much food. Paid for it with our $25 dining credits each. Wife played her freeplay ($25 each) netting nada, while I played Mo Mummy and cashed out a $17 profit.
A nice walk to the Strat to walk off our breakfast and use our $25 freeplay was next. Wife rifled through hers in short order. I decided to play mine in a weird gem type game called Raoul's Riches. First spin got the bonus game and cashed out a tidy $250 profit. When I went to cash out, the Strat slot staff was paying a lady the $18k jackpot she had just won on Mo Mummy.
Left the Strat and walked back to the Sahara to take monorail to the Westgate. Played some over there with not much luck. I lost $100, and wife lost $200. I'm still up $150 on the day. We headed back to the timeshare for lunch (Olive Garden leftovers from Thursday), before our first slot tourney session of the day. My score was better than yesterday, my wife's wasn't.
Back to the timeshare to relax before our last tournament session and the awards dinner tonight. Wife is taking a nap while I went through some student assessments I still needed to score and write this latest trip entry. Will update the last part of the day tomorrow morning.
I'm happy you're having a good time. I wish you had done better at the Sahara. When I was there during my birthday month, I used my $10 free play and cashed out $110. What a shock that you're grading. When I taught full time, there wasn't a trip when I didn't take work to do. The blessing of being a teacher. Enjoy the rest of your trip. Get a jackpot but not one that's taxable.

Thanks Robert. We have standards based grading, so we use rubrics when grading, and only the assessments are graded. All the assignments address the standards, so it's important to do the assignments.
Nice trip report and nice to know there are fellow teachers on this board to talk about their trips and successes and workloads at times too. Cheers!

Cheers back to you, dfcavs!
Sunday, Nov. 17- No gaming today. Mostly shopping and relaxing at the timeshare.
Ate Breakfast using wife's food comps at the Westgate Buffet. We both enjoyed it. After breakfast we went to the South Outlet Mall for some shopping, and then to Fantastik, the big indoor swap meet at Decataur and Oakey. Cost a buck to enter and we were there mostly just walking around window shopping. Wife did find a nice Coach purse. Only thing we bought.
Headed back to the timeshare. Wife rested while I spent some time on one of the business center computers for some internet browsing and then got in a 45 minute treadmill workout in the fitness center. Spent the rest of the afternoon watching some football.
Headed over to the Westgate to use the rest of my wife's food comps on pizza and pretzel sticks. I used comps at their giftshop for an ice tea and some milk for breakfast tomorrow. Back to the room to eat and watch some TV for the rest of the evening.
Heading home tomorrow. Got a 1pm checkout, but will probably get up really early to workout, pack, eat and then hit the road.
