Vegas Nov Trip 16th to 20th

We flew one way on Southwest for 178 for both of us nonstop.  Rental car was 147 from Sixt for a full size.  I got a free birthday upgrade in a BMW small suv that was really sweet. Fox was about 25 dollars cheaper, but still went with Sixt. We stopped at In an Out for dinner before checking into Green Valley Ranch for  3 comped nights and 75 food credit and 225 free play.  After checking in we got things strted by cashing in a couple sports book tickets from last trip.  Me about  45, and the wife almost 5 hundy.  Sweet. We got some way tickets at  keno  for 25 cents  a way and then hit the bar tops. We had a pretty good night playing till about 130 with the wife hitting a 6 spot and 4 -5 spots at quarters amd me down about a hundy.  Really fun night.  So nice when all the bartenders remember us and chat back and forth.

Monday we had some light pastries for breakfast at Green Valley and made some sports book bets. Then we headed to the Palms to do the birthday promo. I got 15 dollars free play, but we both dumped some money in a couple new slot games we just knew were going to hit.  We almost chased the 2 free buffets for earning 5 hundred points, but checked out 150 short since they seem to be cutting our offers.

We popped into the Rio to stay on the radar and each played 20.  Nothing exciting.  There was room at the 3 dollar crap table, but we didn't want to settle in .  Maybe next trip

Next stop was the Eureka for 10 dollar birthday freeplay and 15 food comp.  I made 20 on the free play, but our meal was not good at Fat Choy.  They had a new cook, and we ordered the chicken fried rice and spring rollsbecause the fried rice was so good last time.  Well the spring rolls were pretty good, but we barely touched the rice.  The cashier said she had the same problem earier and said they would train her corectly but that was it.  Not many people in the place compared to last time, but she says they have 3 different cooks.

We hit the Sahara for 5 dollars birthday freeplay , which i turned to 10, but the wife lost some on dragon link.  We were tired of dinking so we headed back to Green Valley for the night to warch some games.  Dinner

was at Pizza Rock with food credit, and we played at the bartops the rest of the night.  Down for the day.

Given where you are geographically, and that you like to play video keno, may I suggest that you pop over to Emerald Island? Lots of games at penny denoms, the best paytables in town, and best of all, lots of promos going all the time that reward keno players. For instance, any solid six with at least a twenty cent bet gets you a free wheel spin worth $15 on average. Then you can hit the coffee shop for an excellent meal.

I've said this before, but the really wild aspect of all that is that with the bonuses, if you play during point multiplier times, which are every other two hours, you are actually...drum roll...playing with a 1% advantage. Where else could you do that?

I can give you detailed info if you wish.

Hope the rest of the trip goes well, Brent.  Good luck.

Tuesday we were up early and had some light rolls and made our sportsbook bets.  We then headed to the Suncoast to play on the Boyd 10 times multipier day.. The middle bar is now gone, but Dupars has reopened so we had a late breakfast.  Prices have gone up and service was really slow, but the food was still good.  We had 15 food credit and 20 free play.  We played mostly in the sportsbook  on the 2 rows of machines at the top.  Very quite and no smoke. We also played a few new slots that gave up some bonuses.  Some really dumb game of big bears making samores at a campfire.  I will be glad when the remodel is done.  Thye are building a new center bar and the casino is about a third blocked off.  It is going to look realy nice, but I think they are loosing who they are supposed to be.  We lost a little and headed out.

We had planned to hit Resorts World, but it started raining pretty good as we hit sahara .  Water was pretty deep in the right lane and traffic was slow and heavy. We turned south on valley view and was bad too so we headed back to Green Valley before rush hour  It was fun seeing that much water running, but stressful in a fancey rental car with my own insurance.

At Green Valley we hit the bartops for some drinks, and then hit happyhour at Bottiglia .  We had the ceasar salad and the meatballs, and a dozen of the dollar oysters.  Everything was vey good and we used our food credit.  We played on the floor for awhile and started to hit some quads.  Me on 3 way action poker , the old wheel spin poker, draw frenzy,  and the one where you bet and extra credit for bigger quad payouts.  The wife got 2 quad 4s with  the kicker  times 8 and a royal times 4 on bonus streak

We then hit the bartops at Boracha for a margarita and a quesidilla with chips a salsa. We then hit the bartops in the highlimit room and the wife hit a couple 5 spots at quarters, and I caught a few quads just rotating through the different games  Fun evening and in bed by 1130.

I will try to finnish up tomorrow

Kevin , we usually play over at the Rainbow Club or Emerald Island for a few hours on most trips.  But they they are way too smokey to play for very long, and the drinks suck.  Also they have no nice rooms to offer us, so that leaves playing for food and a small advantage.  Don't get me wrong, we love playing there, but getting a sinus infection and being sick when we get back from a trip is not worth it.  As we have gotten older we don't tolerate bad games and being ripped off, but nice rooms, clean air, and good drinks are a must

When we went to the Suncoast during Labor Day weekend they were doing the remodel.....still not done.  Wow!

Wife and I liked Rampart and Red Rock better.  But, hey, that's just us.   Nice run you guys had at GVC that evening.

Congrats to you and your wife for all those nice hits, Brent. I remember wheel poker, played it years (and years) ago in Reno someplace.  It was good to me.  Haven't seen it since, but haven't been to GVR in years either.  Might have to rethink that.  Keep having fun and good food!

Candy

Wed we were up early and went down to eat breakfast at the cafe , but all the systems were down and only taking cash.  So we went to the sports book and made our bets for the day, and then went downstairs to get some free light pasteries to hold us over.  We cashed out our last live keno ticket.  This was probably our worst result ever , although we we trying some 8 and 9 spots.  cashed out about 20 dollars on a 60 dollar investment.

With the system back up we had a good breakfast in the cafe splitting the lucky 3 way and using the last of our food credit.  We then checked out of our room and  went back in to play as our points were multipying on wed.

The wife hit quad 4s  with a kicker again on bonus streak times 8. I played some super times, draw frenzy and 3way action poker with  a couple quads.

We then headed over to Sunset station to check in for the last night comped and 75 in free play.  We thought we were beating the weather but it started to hail, so we parked in the garage for 10 minintes.  Just pea sized with a beautiful rainbow.  So we headed out and right befor we hit warm springs it started pouring and we had crazy water and fogged up windows all the way to Sunset.  We got checked in and  had the cheeseburger special for lunch at the Brass fork using half price points  They were great, but we had hoped that they had the 2.99 shrimp cocktail they have at the Palace Station, but they didn't.

We then just played all over, with nothing really hitting but an old Moolah penny machine in the back.  We were planning to eat dinner at Sonoma Cellar, but didn't think we could eat a big meal even at half price points.

We deciced since we were just pissing money away we should just go back to Green Valley to play.  Back at Green Valley we had panda express for dinner and then hit the bartops where we like to play the most.  The wife didn't hit much other than a staight flush, but I hit a royal and a couple quads just running through the different games.  Fun time and we headed back to Sunset to call it a night around midnight.

Thursday we checked out and went back in to play for awhile and make sports book bets to bring back for our next trip.  The sports book was good overall but had one hockey game that went the wrong way in the shootout that would have been real money !    We decided to go back to Green Valley for some pasteries and play before heading to the Airport.    We just dinked around on the floor and got subs at capriotties for lunch.  We saved half for the flight home as we have done the last two trips, and that has worked out great.

Rental car return with Sixt was quick and easy, and no lines at all at the bus or at the airport.  We flew back on Alligiant for 39 dollars each non stop.   We wanted to do some other things this trip, but all the rain and F1 made things a little tougher.   Have a great Thanksgiving everyone.

Great report, Brent.  Thanks for sharing it with all of us.

Thanks Sounds like fun trip
