Vegas Oct 11th to 18

First ever trip report.  This was our first trip back since Febuary.  We stayed 2 nights at Suncoast and 5 nights at Greenvalley Ranch. Flight on Alligent was pretty full but felt really safe both ways.  Marla and I each had two cocktails  and played to a draw on Ginn rummy on the flight.  Rental car was with Thrifty for 220 for the week..The counter was quick and easy, but all cars were though Hertz.  What a mess, no cars, people standing around wondering what to do.  We finally decided to just upgrade ourseves and hope to get though the gate.  Ha, Ha,  it worked.  Easy to see why prices have all gone up.  Stixt is now in the main terminal, and all the cars are older with more miles and scratches with the companies seeming to have combined.  We stopped at In an Out Burger for Lunch, and then headed for Red Rocks to get our drink on.      Life is good  to be continued

What made you feel "really safe" during your flight?

Sunday we played at Red Rock. Temp checks at all Station and Boyd properties, not so much downtown.  Bar tops all over had plexiglass deviders, and bartenders all week did a great job wiping things down between players. We had a great time at red rock. We ate dinner at 8 noodle bar, food and service was great and paid with points. On all casino floors the drinks were being served in plasic cups.  So we hit the bartops for some real drinks in real glasses.  We had a great time and ended about even befor heading to Suncoast.   Check in was easy and we were surprised that rooms are being cleaned daily on request.  We declined the offer since we only had 2 nights booked.  Golf view king was great as always  Comped !   Very different feel at the Sucoast.  Plastic cups even at the bars, and they wanted to see your card before giving you the good stuff. Even the bartenders we have known for years seem to be very unhappy these days. Hardly anyone at the suncoast, and really no place to eat except the cafe.  They have taken out most of the good machines, and the rewards club just isn't very good anymore.

On monday we had breakfast at Du pars  and then played at the bars .  But mimosa in plastic cups just isn't the same, so we headed downtown for a coupon run, and see the Circa, which is really cool. We might have to come back next month and play.   We made small profits at Binons and plaza, but the bars were not open. We did the two for One coupong at binions for lunch, and was good as always.  We decided Golden Gate would be a great call and we played and had screw drivers in nice glasses for a few hours, breaking close to even.  Played some craps with a few freinds and did not fair so well.  I am waiving off the new no 4 strategy.  ouch.  Made a small profit at the 4 queens , got a drink in a plasic cup and headed to El Cortez. We loved the lounge bar with real glasses and had a good session at craps.  We lost a little at the Downtown Grand, and I spilled my plasic cup of wine, so it was time to head back. We picked up the car at the fremont wich was completely dead, and found out we needed better numbers playing live keno.

We finished the night at Red Rock, where we gave some back and ate at the cafe.  No specials anymore at the stations cafe, which we missed. Back to the suncoast after a fun day.   More to come

Enjoying your reports, keep them coming.

Thanks for TR, love downtown.

Tuesday is 11 x multiplier day at boyd so we play a little at suncoast before checkout, and then head to the Orleans. We played pretty hard at the Orleans, even though most of the bars were closed.  The casino was pretty dead. We had planned to eat sushi at the asian place for happy hour , but the hours have changed as most restaurants have done.  So we decided to head to Green valley before rush hour, and check in .  Our room was awesome as always, thanks to our host" Gil the Asian". Feeling very comfortable we choose to have house keeping every day.  We meet Friends for dinner at pizza rock and play some craps and get totally trashed at the Sip Bar. Thanks to George and Cary for a fun night.

We started wednesday with breakfast at the cafe and mimosa at the Side bar.  Played most of the day at Greem valley before going to Boulder Station for dinner at the Broiler Room steakhouse.  It is half price wed. when paying with points.  This is our 3rd time here and is our new favorite steakhouse.  Bottle of wine, shared a chop salad and  2 great meals for 60 bucks.  Also there is a very good Mexican place there.  We play for awhile since it isn't very smokey, and then head back for an eary night .  more to come

Thursday was 10 x points day at station properties so we played pretty hard all day at Green valley, before heading to sunset station in the evening No big wins or loses, but  the happy hour at boracha is fantasic at Green valley.  4 great bars and gret drinks with great glasses at all 4.

Friday we ventured out to the Sahara for some food credit and to play at the Casbar.  They always make great Kettle one screwdrivers.   They have rearranged the casino again and it looks great, but there really isn't anything playable there.  There were only 4 bartops turnerned on at the Casbar and they were all very far apart, so we didn't play.  We did eat at the Northside cafe, but it was a big disapointment due to the covid changes and restrictions.  The great Chinese menu didn't start until 430.   So being very thirsty we headed to the Park MGM .Great choice, as we stayed at the  "Champagne Bar" bor almost 3 hours drinking mimosa and playing at the bar.  We loved the no smoking, and feel of the casino.  The bathrooms are in wierd locations to cater to T moble arena.  After 2 full bottles of champagne we headed to the Gold Coast to hit the happy hour at Cornerstone. This is a great play as they always let us use the LVA coupon in the lounge, and the Apps are great After that we played for awhile before heading back to Green valley.  The plan was to play for a min at the side bar , grab some water and call it a night.  Somehow we caught our second wind and got out drink on and played until 2

Sat was slow going for me, but Marla was up at the crack of dawn, wanting to make some football bets.  We slow played it most of the day , watching the games and playing at Green valley.  For dinner we headed back to Sunset station to use the LVA couplon at the Sonoma Cellar Great meal as always, but they changed the recipe for the carrot cake bread pudding.  It was good but it needed the rum sauce.  We played a little before heading back and making it an early night, as we have a very early flight   Thanks for reading/  I will summorize the trip soon

Excellent TR.  Glad to hear Park MGM had a good feel with the non-smoking (and the champagne, LOL).

Some final thougts from our trip  Very long lines for rental car shuttles.  We had a 30 min wait to get to the airport.

Although we breezed though security on our flight, we saw lines way past the escalators on the way to pick up luggage on our incoming flight.

All of the casinos have really tightened there point systems and free stuff.  No multipiers for Columbus day and looks like the same for Veterans day.

We made about 60 dollars each on our free slot play , from the coupon book

and saved 60 dollars on food from the book as well.

Looking forward to our next trip  Nov  8th to the 15th  Life is good
