One of the best things about returning from Vegas is planning your next trip especially when they’re less than a month apart. Next trip is with mom, a long needed girl’s trip, something I’ve been wanting to do for several months.
One of the best things about having a losing trip is knowing it was funded by wins at my local casino. The second best thing is being grateful for a flexible work schedule and being able to create sales while out of town.
I don’t have any pictures of good wins to share. I did hit a couple 4 of a kinds and some good bonus rounds on the Corgi slot machine, the one similar to Cheshire Cat. My best hits were at Caesars Palace and Harrahs. Nada at Flamingo, Sunset Station and Green Valley Ranch. I broke even at Cosmopolitan and lost small amounts at Bellagio and Venetian. Cosmopolitan, Bellagio and Venetian have many of the newest slots. I hit a good bonus round on Rolling Stone at B that brought me close to even. I saw a lady hit aces w/ kicker on triple play TDB for $1000.00.
The drive to Vegas was uneventful. I noticed storm clouds to the north of Kingman. The local weatherman said something about a storm being north. I thought he meant way north. I was wrong. It rained pretty well between Kingman and Hoover Dam. It rained lots on the Strip Sunday night into Monday and snowed in Summerlin Monday morning. I packed lightweight tops thinking the temperatures would be mid 60’s, not drizzly and 40. It had been sunny 75-80 in Phoenix.
I wasn’t prepared for a cold drizzly day. However, seeing snow on the mountains to the east was gorgeous. These photos don’t do justice because of the screens. I am posting because I think the screens give an interesting effect.

It appeared half the country was in town for Chinese New Year. Monday was packed with visitors.

The highlight of the trip was hanging out with my friend S. We try to meet up in Vegas a couple of times a year. Sunday we met at Paris’s DL then walked over to Caesar’s. Monday, we dined at Ruth Chris using my diamond celebration comp then saw Million Dollar Quarter. The food and service were top notch. Not only did I love the music and story line of Million Dollar Quartet, I loved the fact there were no comedians/magicians or acrobats in between scenes.
The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow.

I used a MyVegas award for brunch at Bellagio. Although the food was good, I enjoyed the atmosphere and food more when I dined at Aria last summer. Unless comped, I don’t see myself going back to the Bellagio buffet.
My original plan was to spend Tuesday night in Laughlin then drive home very early Wednesday morning. I cancelled Laughlin Monday morning. Instead I stopped at GVR before driving home and spent what I didn't want to spend. Don't ask.
I have very fond memories of when my mom took me to Vegas for my 21st birthday. We hung out, played a little here, played a little there, knew nothing about tier status, walked up and down the strip, saw one or two shows, and just had fun. I’ve been wanting to do a girl’s trip with her for months, and am hoping to replicate the fun on our upcoming trip.
Two years ago, we went to Vegas to celebrate the Twiddle's wedding anniversary. I talked them into the trip because they could. Last year, Mr. T. couldn’t travel. This year, we said goodbye to him. Vegas has changed in 2 years and I think my mom will enjoy seeing the changes. Our trip will begin in Laughlin so I can use a handbag offer then we'll drive to Vegas the next day. That day will probably be challenging for Mrs. T. as it was her wedding anniversary. I am hoping to keep things upbeat by taking my her to dinner. Our itinerary includes seeing KA courtesy of MyVegas, breakfast with one of my friends, and using our diamond bennies to see 1 or 2 shows.
