Vegas trip April 13-16

Kevin we are talking Video roulette here, which is a program.  I have seen this sequence before at other casinos, and was late getting in.  Not this time.  Sometimes it is hard to see things with your eyes closed   Will I see this pattern again, who knows .  And maybe I will lose a bundle chasing it the next time.  I see people getting killed all the time playing black jack, but keep right on playing because it is such a good game. Same with video poker.  Sometimes you have to mix thing up

The program is an RNG, which by definition, does not generate a sequence or pattern. The "pattern" you saw was an illusion, again, brought about by your brain's hunger for them.

Whether my eyes are open or closed doesn't affect that simple reality. The odds against you stay constant with every play.

RNGs could more accurately be described as pseudo-random number generators. Technically a sequence and pattern is exactly how they work.

There is no known way to get true randomness from a computer program.

Patterns are inherent in the way they operate. However recognizing and exploiting them would generally be very difficult

I have read/heard of cases of people doing it. I think mostly with older systems and counter measures have been implemented.

RNG programs work by running a set mathematical algorithm. They start with a "seed number" and then run the algorithm.

If I recall correctly someone was able to exploit an electronic keno type game. The casino was cutting power to the machines at closing and rebooting them in the morning. Every morning the same algorithm would restart with the same seed number. The obvious fix is the casino now keeps the machine powered so the algorithm runs 24/7

So to make Kevin happy, I will change my last post about roulette.  There I was playing 2 dollars a spin .  One dollar each on the first 3rd and last 3rd.  Green had not come up for a long time.  Suddenly after yet another random spin, I changerd my numbers completly.  One dollar on 2, one dollar on 28, and a dollar on middle 3rd.  For some strange reason I didn't do green.  Just dumb luck, but 2 and 28 hit 6 times in about 12 spins and I did not move my numbers.  The middle 3rd hit 4 times..  The 5 hit next and I cashed out randomly with a nice profit

I think playing  keno and roulette is dumb luck, and it is probably just random odds catching up with me that I have been more profitable the last several years.  People who try to find ways to be more successful playing these games are just wasting time, because there is no way to win. Ever

Wednesday  we went to the cafe and had a great breakfast.  We  got the fruit plate and split the lucky 3 way and used our food credit.  No winners at the sports book, but made some new bets.  No good on live keno either, but reinvested with 10 spots  We played the bar tops and had some mimosas and both hit several 4 spots for a small profit.  We checked out and went back in so the wife could play some bonus streak and I played 100 play and 3 way action.  We both hit the bank robbing racoons on the way out for a hundy.

We then headed back to the Durango to play at the bars and both hit some 4 spots.  I played a little video roulette and cashed out a small profit by hitting 1 and 34 straight up and a few columns in about 15 minutes.  probably just dumb luck.  On the floor , the wife played bonus streak and I played 5 and 10 play.  The wife hit Aces and another royal, but again no multipiers

Next it was back to Green Valley for a little more play on Bonus streak  and 5 play and cookies in the Vip room.  Not much luck so we headed to Boulder Station for dinner at the Broiler Room.  We split the chopped salad and I hadthe filet with baked potatp and the wife had the salmon with mashed and asparagus.  All very good and with half price points was  about 40 bucks with tip.  We played 20 bucks and left without cashing in our tickets.  Opps  Next time

WE then went to Sunset Station to check in for 1 comped night.  The wife played bonus streak and hit one more royal, no multipier.  I played 10 dollar craps fot about 2 hours and cashed out up 90 bucks.  Fun table.  We called it a night.  I will wrap this up later tonight or tomorrow

Sounds like you and wife having nice time.More good luck wishes.

Thursday we slept in a bit and then checked out, but went back in and played some 5 play multistrike.  We both had an up and down session with some great quads. Aces, 2s and 4s with a kicker and and several regular quads.  The wife was up 30 and I lost 10 in about 2 hours.  We made a few sports book bets, and headed over to Green Valley..  We hit the Vip room for some pasteries and cashed out our live keno ticket about even. So for the week we lost 30 bucks on live keno, but we ran the 10 spots again for 40 games to bring back next trip at a cost of 30 bucks.  We played on the floor with no big hits,  I hit the ballon game fo r80 bucks and I lost  50 playing the bank robbing racoons.  I just knew the safe was going to blow.  Oh well good run and a good lesson.  We had a late lunch at Lindo Michiucan on top of the hill and it was great.  We just split the lunch fajitas and got out of there for 22 bucks with tip.  Then back to Green Valley for subs at Capriottis for our flight home .

Rental car return was quick and easy, but lines for the busses were a little long.  Once on the bus traffic was heavy and we ended up getting stopped right before the tunnel for the presidental motor cade for about 30 mins.  Those guys came flying by us in the other lane, and it was cool to see.  Once we got to the airport it was empty and we walked right through.  Flight was delayed about an hour, but it was smooth.  For the trip the wife was up a grand and I lost a few hundred.  Looking forward to the next one.

You guys had a great trip.  Thanks for sharing it with us.
