Vegas vacation #1

We have been so excited to get out of town for months. Have 24 days lined up between Vegas, Laughlin, and Phoenix. trip is jan 16-feb 8

Flight out of Detroit was ok, Delta believes in packing them in like sardines. There was no leg room and I was scrunched in between hubby and another big guy. Plane was late taking off and we were dreading the long flight. Usually, we are so excited that the flight takes forever anyway but this time pilots were fighting head winds and being late leaving..I was amazed that we landed just 5 minutes offf target arrival time. The pilots made up time once they cleared the mountains..

Dollar car/ no compacts so upgraded to a fusion...nice car
Imperial Palace for 10 nights. I got an upgrade to the luv tub for a small fee prior to leaving. Thought this might help hubby with his health problems. When we checked in, for couple dollars more we got a King Suite with living room, wet bar, seperate bedroom. Nice for meeee!!!!! Hubby can get up have coffee and let me sleep..

We checked in, thru the bags in the room and hit the ground running. Played at IP with not much in winnings. Moved to Harrahs and stayed even...I went to a quarter 2x3x4x machine and on the third pull got 2x4x2x for 4200 quarters. wahoo!!!!way to start the trip...Hubby always plays this machine and when I came across it I thought what the hell I would give it a try. Now Rick was somewhere else and I wanted him to see the hit so I waited for him to come round...People came up high fived, congratulated me on the hit...I was excited to say the least. When he finally showed up the look of amazement/disgust lol was evident. He had been playing that machine for years and never hit like that...lol

I was really dragging butt since it was 24 hrs with no sleep and finally had to give in to some shut eye.
Hoping that I had not won first night and the rest would be all down hill I was really upset that just had to get some sleep. Hubby was already on overtime and I knew he needed rest.

I should point out that my hubby has some serious health issues so we will be driving, taxi or bus...No long walks without stopping. This is going to be ok but it puts a crimp in walking anywhere for just the thought of going. 40 years of smoking and a bad back have finally took its toll.

Congrats on the nice hit.Sorry about your husbands health.Maybe being in slightly warmer weather will help some. You mention about your flight being crowded.I just flew home from Vegas 2 weeks ago and the flight was only 3/4ths full.First time in many years on a plane that was not full.Enjoy the rest of your trip.
It sounds like you have a great trip planned. Congrats on a great start with the win on your hubby's machine. He should be happy that you recouped some of his losses. It was better you than someone else. I hope he tries it again and beats you.

Sorry to hear about the rough flight and being scrunched in the middle. It's great that you were only 5 minutes late though. Our flight Tuesday is full both ways from Cleveland on Continental's 757-300 & 757-900. I hope I have better luck with the middle seat.

I'm sorry to hear about hubby's health issues. It makes it hard to enjoy yourself in a town where just getting to your room is a journey. I had an awful time with my husband last summer as he had some issues with his back, and ended up getting lots of meds from their urgent care. He had shingles just before leaving on the trip before that. I hope this time will be without incident.

Nice score with your car. We have a car rental with Dollar for a compact. We had a Focus last time, and it worked out well. A fusion would be nice.

I hope your luck continues, and that hubby has some too!

Glad to hear about your win....A very nice way to start off your trip.
Sorry about your husband's health issues...but glad that you are both able to make the trip.
I just got back from LV about 1 1/2 weeks ago...my husband's back and leg were bothering him....we went to a lot of local casinos and downtown to ease the amount of walking for him....Cant wait to hear about the rest of your trip....Enjoy and Good Luck!

Nice hit on the 2x3x4x machine !!!!! ....... and under the W2-G tax amount which is wicked cool

CONGRATS.

Rick
A good win is always a great way to start an LV vacation. Also a good score on the room upgrade. Looking forward to hearing more.
Thank you for Part 1 of your report and congratulations on your early win.

What I have done with nice wins is then basically say that that didn't happen and I then just continue on normally and I do not ramp up my bets (which could end up increasing losses).
Playing in that manner helps me to ensure that I come home with at least most of that money!

I wish you and your husband continuing with no or at least minimal health issues for this trip!
