Day 3 finds us checking in at Palace Station for the next 5 nights. It will be nice to not have to change rooms again.
We head back to Texas station first, to get the breakfast buffet with our MRB coupon. We needed to go back, as I had purchased a sweat jacket and matching tee shirt at their gift shop for 22.00 total, and wanted to purchase another for my sister. Breakfast was good, They didn't have the chinese food set up yet - I was hoping for some ribs, as they are excellent there. Oh well, bacon and eggs and hash browns work okay too.
Room 14023 which is 14th floor - they cannot fool me, this is the 13th floor!! Standard tower room, flat screen tv, king bed, looks out over the front of the building and the huge Palace Station sign. We check in and call our friends, we plan to drive to Hendersen to meet them at Emerald Island.
Emerald Island is a locals, tiny little place that makes everyone feel right at home. We went there in October and loved the place. We meet up with our friends, and get comp cards, as it's free gift day once you earn 200 points. We do that easily and get to choose from several items: but remember, we have to tote all this stuff home on the plane and with that in mind, settle on some cute stuffed animals for my granddaughter. It was so nice to see our friends again, and they just love living so close to Vegas. They treated us to dinner, as they have free meals weekly there, and used comp points to pay for our dinners. I had shrimp scampi, and it was really good. We played video keno - 4 card cleopatra is tons of fun. I started with $20 and hours later cashed out for $40 and headed back to Palace Station for a couple of drinks and bed.
Our bed is super comfy!!!! Pillows could be better though, but they are passable.
Up and down at the bar tops. No quads for me in VP, and no good hits on keno either. So far the trip has been fun, but no hits to speak of.
Tomorrow, we are playing here at Palace Station during the morning, and then heading to downtown. We have not seen the newer version of the Plaza and want to check it out.
