Vegas vacation day 5 and 6

Saturday:

Today began with Play at Palace station. Hubby hit a 6/6 on devil keno machines for $400 so that was a nice start! We had breakfast at the Café, skillet breakfast specials have 3 eggs, sausage patties, home fries and toast for 8.99

We get the car and head out to play at some different places, and head for the Wildfire casino on Rancho. We often pass by this place on our way to and from Texas station but have never stopped. I locate a video poker machine and play at the nickel level. I catch a straight flush, then a quad. I change the machine to video keno and manage to cash out a couple hours later for $350. It’s so much more fun to cash out ahead!! Who knew??

I had set up a meet and greet with a woman from facebook who is an administrator of the keno game I play on that site. I phone her and we make arrangements to meet in a couple of hours at Red Rock at the sports bar. We were able to secure some seats at the bar and played the bartops. $80 placed into the machine, and no hits at all. But we had a good 2 hours chatting away, and I have made another Vegas friend!!! She and her husband moved there (here) 25 years ago and she just loves it. They live in a gated Sun community in the Red Rock area, and her biggest challenge is the occasional scorpion that appears in her garage – which she has no issue killing with a brick. UGH

After we left Red Rock, we headed back to Palace station and just grabbed some Subway subs and brought them to our room.

Sunday:

We head to the outlet mall near Southpoint. I need sandals. Since I am a nurse, in order to wear sandals at work, they must cover your toes. Very difficult to find. Luckily there are about 20 different shoe stores here – I should be able to find something. Nope, none that were comfortable. They were either too narrow, or had some stappy thing that stuck into the side of my foot. Guess it’s regular shoes for me this summer at work.

We decide to head to Sams town, and give them some play, and eat at the buffet with my MRB coupon. We are up and down at sams town. Hitting nothing on keno, or video poker, but hitting on penny machines. No wonder so many people play those!

Buffet was okay. Funny thing is that they advertise the prime rib, but in truth, it wasn’t all that great. The fried shrimp were good, and other dishes were also excellent, but not the prime rib.

Heading back to Palace station, we make the decision to stick to penny machines tonight. We each take $100 and set out to play. The goldfish game gave me plenty of bonus rounds. $20 in and cashing out when I double it, which happened several times. Then I played some other penny games, up and down the aisles. I see people play some Buffalo game, but I have never had luck on it. Hubby finds a Pawn Stars game, and has some luck playing that. We head up to bed with our stake intact, and just had a relaxing enjoyable evening.

Monday is our last full day
Thanks for the Day 5 and 6 reports.

Sorry that you weren't able to find any good sandals for your work and looking forward to your last day's report. I hope that today (Monday) was a good one!
