wayne in vegas on the tr side

i really shouldn't drink. the first post went to hotels for some reason

4-17 at PH. up and out at 9:00 a.m. walked to paris and lost $400 on
some gambling thing. probably $vp.

this day bruce, tom, rick and i went to the MMMMMM. I love the MMM.
rick and i had free buffet coups, and i had enough points for bruce and tom.
arrived and same story. lost at vp. bruce is winning here, good for him.
we had the lunch buffet. all was very good. i know some have said that it
has gone down hill, but fine by me. except deserts always look way
better than they taste.

i went to the beer bar and played vp for a few beers. i did not lose much here.
i talked to the bartender who says penn national, the new owner, has slashed
a bunch of jobs. new management always does. they might close their
poker room.

the pool here was still closed to my surprise.
then i went to play craps by myself at a table where the crew looked bored.
it was only a $5 table. i was doing fine by myself until my "friends" decided
to come over. I had three 10-15 minute rolls, but the rest of THEM could not
hit anything. my $ is gone here too. they make me gamble.

we go back to PH to find lou, the harrahs whale. he owns a profitable gas
station and has been on the computer today checking gas prices and whatever
he does for his business.

lou is here $900 first class round trip air, $500 cash, and $500 food voucher
from harrahs. he treated us at the steak place, strip steak?, at PH. five of us
ordered $580 with only two drinks. i know it's over priced. i would rather cook my own steak.
the meal was $580 good.

after dinner what did i do? of course, i headed to EI because it and i am cheap. played
craps but most bj with a soon to be bride and her maids. they were a hoot. i was a
perfect gentleman. the dealer was a pig making inappropriate comments about the bride.
there's a time and place for fun and frivolity, but he went way past it for me. the bride
and girls left no worse than they came.

i lost, of course.

i stuck around for karaoke at EI. it was fun. a country guy and an everything girl were
fighting it out between themselves in between the rest. i did not stick around to see
who won.

this was my headache late night. walked back to PH and in bed at 2:30
Thank you, waynes, for posting Part 2 of your report! It's too bad that the EI dealer was being a Pig towards the bride-to-be!

I don't know how good (or bad) the Blackjack at Ellis Island is but before your trip you could (if you really want to know what's what with the rules as well as the casino's advantage over the Player is) check out the "Las Vegas Blackjack Survey" link on the https://wizardofvegas.com website and you can increase your chances of doing better or losing less by only playing at games where it lists that the casino's advantage over the Player is really no more than 0.42% (although no more than 0.33% is even better and the lower than that, the better).
I'm now looking forward to reading more about your LV adventures with your buddies.

I have to say that I avoid playing DDB VP at all costs because the game's Variance (basically its Volatility rate) is way too high for me to want to deal with it.
