sunday
up and going. looked for coffee in the room. there's a nice coffee maker but no coffee.
also, no shampoo. and now that i think about it there was no shampoo at the M.
walked to casino royale for a cinnabon. what a terrible tasty breakfast. crossed the street
and walked through the forum shops. stopped at the border grill and complained that they
took over for whatever was there before because they had the best oyster deal on the strip
at the time. i have not been to venetian yet. the hostess sort of said sorry, but their's is
really good. i believed her but just had to be me again.
forum shops are great. the improved food bar at caesars looks good.
crossed over at barbary coast and saw a panhandler with a starbucks with the order thingy
on it..
went to the bellagio and through the conservatory. there were a lot of people taking pictures.
took the tram to monte carlo. i could have been there sooner if i walked but decided to see the
back side of the casinos. had a beer at the monte beer bar. they do have a nice selection.
i had a dog head 90 from the east coast. 120 you cannot find in wisconsin.
left and walked through the arena/park area. as harrahs did with the linq MGM has done almost
the same with this. just a couple of places to sit or have food and a drink, but it's well done.
i've read somewhere on here that they said this will be a place to keep cool in the summer months.
well, you better be in one of the restaurants or bars because it's still concrete and that gets hot.
the music venue on the strip on the south side of monte had all the skeleton work up. just think.
another place to pay $17 for valet parking.
walked to the hawaian village after reading a question of the day a few weeks back. they must
be making money somehow. it's not yet a dump but close.
walked back to cosmo to try the wicked spoon buffet. there was an hour wait. i was by myself and
didn't try to get in. i had another place in mind and went to lobster me at planet hollywood. had the
lobster roll. it was good. i'd go again.
went back to harrahs to soak my feet in the pool. the weather was so-so.
fred and kathy and others arrived today. i met them at o'sheas for a bit. after i left vegas the weather
turned sour and they only had one good day for the week.
went and changed to go to $1mil quartet. Diamond Joe gets two tix a month. I suggested this.
get there early and had our pictures taken. i did buy them at the end. it's two photos of us.
i want to get the same size photo to seigrid and roy(sp) to put next to our's. not that there's
anything wrong with that.
this show was very good. the showroom was half full. if you like 50's music or are a bit
interested in it i'd recommend it.
after the show i went back to the room to pack for the 5:00 a.m. wake up call. the thumping
at carnival court 'til 3:30 was so soothing.
I normally just leave without checking out but i had to express my displeasure at being
put in a room where i could not sleep. the woman looked at who who checked me in
and said she should have told you about this. well,, duh...........i reminded her that maybe it was
included with the resort fee.
taking the car back to dollar was quick and easy. i don't know if i'll rent a car if MGM gets away with their parking fees. you know that caesars will jump on this right away.
got to the airport through security two hour searly. i am anal. flight back to milwaukee only three hours.
i got beat up gambling but have 2/3 bankroll left. start saving again. just received my first silverton offer today in the mail.
today is 5-18. i read on today's news that topgolf is/will be opening.
after i got my car from dollar and headed to the strip i took the back road to harrah's and drove
by this place. it looks great. tons of hitting tees. sand traps. fences so i don't
kill anybody. this looks like a partyhavesomefun kind of place. i was not paid for this endorsement.
but could be!
