Whoa Westie, I enjoyed your trip report and decided to Google Vegas trip reports and almost every site I found had your trip reports, And I thought I had the Vegas bug bad..lolololololol

Westie, I always enjoy your trip reports. Do you pay for your room at Southpoint and play elsewhere or do you play enough at Southpoint to get comped? My wife and I are headed out in June for 13 nights and will be switching rooms four times to get them free. I definitely see the appeal of checking in and calling a place home but I've been reading your reports for a long time and have always wondered...

What a report. I envy your trips--always checking out places I would never think to do and have learned so much. How in the world Ann stays so thin...it's amazing.

I have not been playing at the South Point because I cannot get over the 1% EV difference between FPDW and NSUD plus my wife does not play enough to qualify for free rooms on her own. I was going to bite the bullet
this past trip and learn NSUD, but chickened out.

I know what you mean on the EV. Using the D as an example, ACG and LVA both have those wonderful coupons that bring the cash back to 1% for a day. NSUD is suddenly a very attractive game. In exchange for using those coupons last trip (about $5k action each day) we are each getting 3 free nights, $50 freeplay, $25 matchplay and $25 food per month. So, for that level of action, the comps are worth it to me and the coupons make the comps a true bonus. Not sure if you would like downtown though. I love it and comps are easy to come by other places playing 10/7 DB.

We both like the rooms/restaurants/entertainment/employees etc at the South Point and I don't mind driving to crosstown for the FPDW at Sam's and Fiesta.

How nice to be able to spend a leisurely 14 days in Vegas! You two have quite the adventure and really know how to get the most bang for your buck! Some of those meals look great and some . . . . not so much! Sorry Ann was a little under the weather, no fun on vacation. Thanks for the lengthy, but VERY enjoyable trip report! - Gail
