Rumor has it that a guy folded quad 8's in this tournament when the board showed a possible 2 card straight flush. How could you lay down a hand like that?

Not a rumor, it happened. I wouldn't fold quads with 3 cards to a straight flush on the board, but I would have to think long and hard if it was 4 cards.

Depends on who you are playing against. If you know your opponent has the stright flush you would be an idiot NOT to fold your poker 8's.
