I'm also surprised when I take a photo of a MACHINE and being told not to do so.
I needed to take a photo of the pay table and analyze it in a comfortable bar stool.
Bid deal!

I'm careful NOT to have my flash enabled. It messes up a screen shot, anyway.

Some casinos don't care. Even at a live game!
It was some 25 years ago at the Strat. Got a photo of myself and my 2 brothers at a BJ table.
My father was granted permission. Back when there was FILM in a camera.
"I don't care,go for it",said the nice dealer.

There are videos posted of a live craps game, until the camera is discovered on You Tube. Great fun!
In the comments, some people will catch a bad pay out! Sure,we see lousy bets being made as well.
Videos are a BIG NO-NO.
There are several low limit pro poker players in Vegas that are "youtubers". They show videoed hands at the table and then analyze them in editing before posting. There is one that plays at the Nugget fairly regularly so I asked the card room manager about it. His answer " I know nothing about it". Uh huh, sure. Way to many regulars know about it and talk about it. The dealers see it and ignore it. Ignorance is bliss on the part of management.

Fun to watch these people get away with a video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hfB25Mt1Ais&ab_channel=JPumpkinKing
