100x odds

On the front page it is noted that the Cromwell is giving 100x odds on craps. However, the table minimum is$10.

For you craps players out there is that worth it to you? You still have to have $10 on the line, are you ever going to have $1000 behind? I would have to be on a helluva roll to be up to $1000 odds. I regularly get up to $100 to $150 behind but that's easy enough with 10x odds I get downtown.
Too rich for my blood....but there have been times when I was on a hot table and my chip stack got pretty large.....I wanted to go over the 10x limit but still probably no where near 100x.

Boulder Station likes to run 100x odds promotions from time to time. They only require $5 minimum bets.
I have always thought that the 100 X odds was way over blown. Unless the table is on one hell of a roll every few people can make the bet because of bankroll limits. Yes the overall odds go from .32 for 5X odds down to .02 but you would have to have a huge bankroll to take advantage of the lower overall odds and you would have huge swings bet backroll. You are betting a lot of money on an even money bet it is not like you are betting on a bet where you have the advantage. With a max payout of $5000 at the Cromwell the most you could bet would be $25 pass line and $2500 behind the line because the 4 and 10 payout would max out. The only time I saw someone do 100 X was a Binions years ago and they lost two pass line bets in a row and were done. Losing over $2000 on 6 rolls of the dice. I threw the dice on the first pass line and after first throwing an 8, I made my odds bet then picked up the dice. I had not noticed that the 100X guy had stacked a eight inch high stack of green and red chips at the other end of the table. Just before I released the dice I saw the big stack and awkwardly tried to miss the stack. Because I always try to throw the dice to the same location on the table and the same motion. But I was about to release the dice straight at the eight inch stack of chips so one dice went flying one way and the other dice the other. One hit the side wall by the dealer then bounced down near the end on the table and the hit other side wall across from the dealer and bounced back to the center of the table. Seven out line away and there went his $10 bet and $1000 odds.
Unfortunate for him,but a GREAT story!
The last time I had a good run at craps,I was in a black out/drunk.

The next day I counted my cash and chips. I guess that I won over $700.Cool.
I get free wheel chair rides at the MSS.
There MUST have been black chips involved.
$5 pass line and $100 odds would be 20X.
I like the outside numbers,Kell.

I'll try again for a wheel chair ride in October.
Sober craps is no fun.

My latest "strategy"(I wont say system) does not include the pass line. Placing 4 numbers using a 'take and parlay' going to all numbers on a streak. If I am itching for action on the come out I'll throw $1 or $2 on a prop bet.

I remember the 100x odds at Main Street Station and it was a $5 table. I don't remember any "max payout" rules, but then I never had $500 behind either. They have 20x now, still $5, might be $10 at peak times but I doubt it.
Golden Gate, my favorite, has 10x but it's a $10 table at peak times.

There are bean counter gimmicks at craps just like other games. Black jack has 6 to 5, etc.
Craps has 3-4-5x odds, they say it makes the payout easier for the dealers. When was the last time a casino made things easier for a dealer without making a profit off of it?
its getting harder to find $5 craps tables downtown after dinner.
Has anyone been to the Plaza lately? The Plaza deserves some applause for offering 20x odds on its two craps tables.
10X odds and $10?No. $5 10X odds.
Maybe after dinner.
I wonder how different the Cal is from the MSS as far as craps goes.
The Fremont has $3 craps if you can get in there. After dinner? NO.2X free odds.
