Good for him, but that would be after he pays the income tax....

He needs to consult his tax preparer or get one. The 14million is taxable income. If he were to turn around and write a check to the charity in the same amount, he would only be able to take a charitable deduction up to 50% of his adjusted gross income, or around 7 million. That would mean he is left with 7 million of taxable income for the year. The remaining charitable deduction is carried over for the next five years until used up. If not used up, you lose it forever.

He should hold onto enough to pay his income taxes on the 7 million or so of taxable income.

Dumb giving it to any charity. They're all corrupt, and there's no trusting that a good portion or even all of that kind of money wouldn't be skimmed or removed by those who control the funds. Churches are certainly no exception. If he wants to help others there's better, more rewarding ways to go about it. The first thing I'd do is send a big check to the Obama's to clothe their daughters so they don't look so slutty standing nearby while he's delivering another round of lies to the nearest cameras.
