2 Royals - Same Machine within 2 hours

Last Thursday at the Hollywood Casino in Lawrencburg, Indiana, I had the unexpected. 2 Royals on the same machine playing the same game, $ 2 DDB. It seemed like fate. I had played QQ DDB for about 5 hours and still lost even though I hit 21 DDB QQ and 5 natural quads. The problem was none of the quads were worth more than 400 credits. I took a break and went to have dinner with wife.

After dinner went back to bank of machines by the $ 1 progressive to play. After playing two hundred $ dollars through the first machine in bank, I couldn't get the machine to take any more money. So I moved to the second machine and the same thing happened. It wouldn't take my money. I then moved to third machine and still no luck. So I moved to machine number 4 where I lost a great deal of money the previous Saturday to play. After playing for about an half hour, I hit 4 threes and then shortly thereafter I am dealt the king - jack of clubs. I hit the deal button and low and behold the other three pop up for a $ 8000 royal. I still have about 500 credits and continued to play.

About 45 minutes later I am dealt the Ace, King, Queen of spades and the King of Diamonds. It goes through my mind that I can't hit another Royal that soon so I hold the pair of Kings and the ten, jack of spades pop up. I am devastated to say the least. Now I don't whether I would have hit the deal button at exactly the same time, but the way I hit the hold cards it is possible. I now proceed to play through all the remaining credits.

I almost quit but decide to put another two hundred in the machine. After a few plays I hit another set of quads and thought about quitting again but what the heck let's see what happens. A few hands later I am dealt the jack, queen and king of hearts, jack of diamonds and a nothing card. Again, it goes through my mind about hitting a Royal already, but I hold the hearts and the Ace - Ten of hearts fill in for another $ 8000 Royal. After getting hand play and playing another 15 minutes, I hit 4 Aces - no kicker. Somebody above had to be looking out for me. Fate!!!!! All hits were on the same machine playing DDB.

It was time to go home.

Believe it or not, I hit Royals on back-to-back hands at Terrible's LV. Held two cards and filled the royal on the first hand (I was playing triple play). Very next hand, held three cards and filled the royal on the second line!

Was playing beside my friend another time, again triple play. She hit a royal after being dealt 4-to-the-royal on the top line. About 5 hands later, she held 3 cards and hit it on the first line.

It happens, but it's rare I think! Congrats!

I guess that special programming inside the machines, that causes discards to be replaced by cards of the same rank, doesn't always work.

VP is a weird beast. I was playing at the Palms once at the sportsbook bar, I get dealt 2 black aces in the first 2 positions, I hit deal and get the Q of diamonds in the 3rd position and the 2 red aces on the 4th and 5th position. VERY NEXT HAND I get 2 black aces in position 1 and 2, I hit deal and bang the 3rd card is the Q of diamonds again and the 4th and 5th position have the 2 red aces. Me and my gf almost fell off our chairs.
