20 places in Las Vegas to avoid after dark

20 places to avoid

I've never been to Nellis so I didn't know about that one. Fremont East and the area around Stratosphere I can see.
Did someone say Ghetto Walk?
Im going to start submitting roving reporter "top 20 list" articles like this. Apparently there's alot of good advertising money to be had....and they're essentially unresearchd opinion pieces that just get you to look at ads. Good money if you can get it.

It's not just Las Vegas, "The City of Schools and Churches", that is experiencing the spike.

"Federal Bureau of Investigation Director James Comey has again drawn the wrath of the White House for calling attention to the rising violence in urban areas. Homicides increased 9% in the largest 63 cities in the first quarter of 2016; nonfatal shootings were up 21%, according to a Major Cities Chiefs Association survey. Those increases come on top of last year’s 17% rise in homicides in the 56 biggest U.S. cities, with 10 heavily black cities showing murder spikes above 60%."
Ref: The Wall Street Journal

Well, . . . at least the White House is angry about, . . . umm, wait a minute ! The White House is angry because the FBI Director called attention to the rising violence.
"The reaction to Mr. Comey’s heresy was swift. White House spokesman Josh Earnest immediately accused the FBI director of being “irresponsible and ultimately counterproductive” by drawing “conclusions based on anecdotal evidence.”

Actually that doesn't surprise poor old DonDiego.
Our first trip we walked from ballys up to the strat stopping at every place on the way up to the way back (still have the all the coin cups from every place on the strip at that time, '99) to Ceasers, tuckered out by that point. Our first realization that "it's only right there" didn't actually mean it was "that close". Anyway, I remember leaving the strat, walking towards CC and a drug deal went down right in front of us on the sidewalk. I didn't freak but told my wife we gotta get out of here, some bus came along, I shuffled her up to the stop and got on, she didn't know what was up and no idea what was going on. I told her after getting on the bus and she was entirely clueless, I couldn't believe she didn't' see it, the deal was RIGHT in front of us, literally. How do you miss a couple crack whores and dealers in front of you? Anyway, we still laugh about it today.
Any viewer of CSI could tell you to stay away from the alphabets....

Thankfully I haven't seen any of those "fanny smackn' gangs around.
Henderson is considered one of the ten safest cities in America, as of 2014.
People should remember that crime stats for the City of Las Vegas don't include the Strip, which is in the City of Paradise.
I always like watching "COPS" when they are in Las Vegas. I'll Google the street they get called out to and see where it is on the map. North Las Vegas seems to be the most popular. Draw a big oval between Texas Station and Nellis Airforce base.
I was watching "Jail" last night and it was the episode from Vegas where OJ Simpson gets brought in.

That's it
