2011 March Madness Rounds 1 & 2 (3/17 - 3/20)

Uconn beat Cincy???
Congrats to UD. X dug a hole that was just too deep to climb out of. I ALWAYS want to beat Dayton, but the truth is that X could really use the extra days rest. When you only play 6 1/2 players and 3 of your starters average over 36 minutes a game you cherish any opportunity to rest up this time of year. Atlantic City had been rough on Xavier the past 3 years, but I'm not concerned as early exits in the A10 tourney have led to sweet sixteens the past three years. It's a shame that a team as talented as UD is a #9 seed in the A10 tourney. I still think Brian Gregory is an awful coach and think UD deserves better. Good luck against St. Joes today, and I am rooting for Dayton to bring home another NIT championship.

UD beats St Joes. On to the A-10 final tomorrow
UD loses to Richmond.

A-10 teams in: Xavier, Temple, Richmond (according to CBS sports)

Well the teams are set.

Both Clemson and USC will be playing in the first four in Dayton, Ohio.

The play in games start on Tuesday.
Ghoward...I hear you re: the Harrahs properties. We used to stay there exclusively but, time after time they gave us reasons not to return. Everything from poor service, rude personnel, their running battle with the local newspaper so you can't get one in any property to 6:5 payouts on blackjack and limiting rewards for regular players.

Have a great time as TI should be great for viewing or you can always fine a good time off strip.

I am a Richmond alum. many thanks to Dayton for taking care of that pesky Xavier problem early on.

Not a problem, we didn't have much of a choice as we needed to win the A-10 just to make the dance. Richmond has got a good team, they would have done well against Xavier.

Good luck and just win baby!
