Republicans did not build on the progress of Obamacare - they went backwards. Good luck selling that to DonDiego's Medicaid neighbors in Appalachia

You can't build on a foundation that is being destroyed right in front of you.

I will say that all of the "we have a better plan" that was said for 4+ years turned out to be nothing. Don't say you have a plan and when it comes time for it, you run around looking for some miracle or maybe dropped from the sky...Idiots
Kind of like Trumps secret plan to defeat Isis? Whatever happened to that?
Trump has yet to be in office for two months, and Billy writes this? Billy, you're a funny man.

Oh, that's right. Trumps going to pull a Nixon and not disclose his plans while running for re-election.
Trump repeatedly stated he had a secret plan. I guess Obama's plumbers stole it when they burgled trump tower.

Speaking of Nixon

This is a transcript of the 1971 conversation between President Richard Nixon and John D. Ehrlichman that led to the HMO act of 1973:

John D. Ehrlichman: “On the … on the health business …”

President Nixon: “Yeah.”

Ehrlichman: “… we have now narrowed down the vice president’s problems on this thing to one issue and that is whether we should include these health maintenance organizations like Edgar Kaiser’s Permanente thing. The vice president just cannot see it. We tried 15 ways from Friday to explain it to him and then help him to understand it. He finally says, ‘Well, I don’t think they’ll work, but if the President thinks it’s a good idea, I’ll support him a hundred percent.’”

President Nixon: “Well, what’s … what’s the judgment?”

Ehrlichman: “Well, everybody else’s judgment very strongly is that we go with it.”

President Nixon: “All right.”

Ehrlichman: “And, uh, uh, he’s the one holdout that we have in the whole office.”

President Nixon: “Say that I … I … I’d tell him I have doubts about it, but I think that it’s, uh, now let me ask you, now you give me your judgment. You know I’m not too keen on any of these damn medical programs.”

Ehrlichman: “This, uh, let me, let me tell you how I am …”

President Nixon: [Unclear.]

Ehrlichman: “This … this is a …”

President Nixon: “I don’t [unclear] …”

Ehrlichman: “… private enterprise one.”

President Nixon: “Well, that appeals to me.”

Ehrlichman: “Edgar Kaiser is running his Permanente deal for profit. And the reason that he can … the reason he can do it … I had Edgar Kaiser come in … talk to me about this and I went into it in some depth. All the incentives are toward less medical care, because …”

President Nixon: [Unclear.]

Ehrlichman: “… the less care they give them, the more money they make.”

President Nixon: “Fine.” [Unclear.]

Ehrlichman: [Unclear] “… and the incentives run the right way.”

President Nixon: “Not bad.”

Trump and the Republicans would kick 24 million off health care according to the CBO.

(CNN)Fourteen million more Americans would be uninsured under the House Republican health care bill than under Obamacare in 2018, rising to 24 million by 2026, the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office said Monday.

Does the 24-million figure not include those who are, in fact, not being "kicked off", but simply choosing not to purchase insurance once the obligation to do so under penalty of taxation is removed.

"Kicked off" just sounds so unpleasant, . . . but choosing not to purchase something of one's own volition once the Government edict is removed seems sorta like, . . . "freedom".

The 14 million includes people leaving voluntarily. The 24 million accounts for people losing insurance through changes in Medicaid. Not sure how DD thinks getting kicked off Medicaid equals freedom, but that's for another day.
Of those 24 million being kicked off, how many didn't complete high school? How many, while young adults, choose not to attend college and get a valuable degree? How many, if from poor families, chose not to use government assistance and attend a college and gain a valuable degree? How many choose not to better themselves?

Is there anyone on that this that couldn't be fully self sufficient? People should be expected to fend for themselves, and if Billy and PJ want to pay for those who don't, that's fine by me.

billryan has misinterpreted what poor old DonDiego actually wrote. DonDiego trusts this error was unintentional.
