3-0!

Amazing the amount of constitutional knowledge that's being d I splayed here.
Polly want a cracker?
And what do Dershowitz's further comments regarding his opinion of Trump have to do with the legality of this presidential executive action? Judges are to interpret the law, and that's it.

Had Obama issue the same executive action, these judges would have voted 3-0...............the other way.

Alan Dershowitz, Harvard Law:
"I do not believe that this order constitutes a violation of the establishment clause of the Constitution," the Harvard Law School professor emeritus told "Newsmax Prime" host J.D. Hayworth. "The fact that they picked seven Muslim states, those are the states that have high levels of terrorism."

I respect Dershowitz' opinion. He's a bright guy.

To be fair, Dershowitz said a lot more about the Trump ban than what you linked. Dershowitz called the Trump travel ban "a failure of presidential leadership, tragically. Trump did this unilaterally, without thinking hard about what courts would say."

Dershowitz also said that Trump needs to swallow his pride and go back to the drawing board. He needs to come up with something new.

And if Obama had issued an executive order Boilerman would complain about how authoritarian it was...and how liberals don't care about power-grabs in the White House. Do we need to review?

This decision will likely move the next court and will be judged accordingly - just like the million other cases that preceded it in a similar fashion. And just the way checks-and-balances were designed.

And President Two-Year-Old will continue to undermine the institutions of America by insulting and undermining anyone who challenges his authority along the way.
First to PJ......the kids have been evicted from he White House and most every other government. Your whining about a 2 year old President would be laughable if you weren't so wacky left.

billyboy, I don't know if there will be an appeal. Seems to me it would be faster and easier to just take a mulligan. As to a bet....I'm open to that, but if Trump doesn't wait for the SCOTUS,I'd lose that bet. If it goes for appeal I'm happy to see you make a donation to the charity of MY choice in your name.

The Kids in the previous administration didn't get bogged down in Twitter feuds with D-List celebrities.
I guess they were mature enough to rise above the fray.

Trump is not an ass kissing "politician", he will make mistakes with his delivery, but he will get the job done.
The smart thing would indeed to take a mulligan. The President does have some power in this, but it's not unlimited. Instead of letting Steve Bannion write the next one, the Administration might get legal scholars to write a watered down one. Except that would mean trump would have to admit he was wrong and that isn't likely to happen.
If it goes to the SCOTUS, I will still be happy to relieve you of your money, for charity of course. The 9th circus gets over turned 80% of the time.....wish I could find more wagers like this one!

But...but....Donny is taking a vacation next week. Air Force One and all....and even worse (gulp) he's going to be playing golf. Don't tell Hoops - he'll get really upset. but we need to figure out how our nation's coffers are going to reconcile this travesty.

I left lots of space below for DrMilled to cry about it.

Bannon didn't write it, my understanding is Rudy G. wrote it. I read Sessions and comp[any are rewriting something now. They evn started before the decision.
