3-2 Single Deck on the Strip

I'll believe it when I see it.
Why does the phrase "Double on 10 and 11 only" from my Reno trip keep flashing in front of me?
If you limit the DD's to 10 or 11, dealer hits soft 17, or you cut to less than 65% pen, you're better off just playing a 6 deck shoe with favorable rules at MGM properties. I guess time will tell...

However, the 50% loss rebate thing sounds like it has some potential. I'm not sure I ever stepped foot in the Riv so I seriously doubt that I have a slot card from there. Will try to get by in the next two weeks and will post if it's worthwhile.

Dan
Another key will be whether they allow doubling down after a split. Sometimes these promotional games cut that corner and it makes it unplayable.
I'm going to be staying at the Riviera in Sept, I've been in contact with my host and she tells me they have $10 BJ single deck 3:2, single zero roullete and 10x craps, as advertised.

I really can't wait to go.

Who knows, maybe the new owners are serious about re-building the old lady.

I've stayed there about 20x since 1976 and I have always enjoyed my stay.

Kady's coffee shop has always served good food at a fair price. Good breakfast and burgers. Kristophers steak house is always good, the buffet not so much, but they say that has been upgraded, I'll let you know in my t/r when I get back.

NO 3/2 SD game allows doubling after splits. That game hasn't existed for several decades, as far as I know.
Thanks Bill. I haven't found playable single deck on the strip in so long I forgot the typical conditions for the game.
I believe the last good single deck BJ game, in fact, the best one available at the time was the one at Slots.

I think it was about what? Maybe 10 years ago?

Silverton also had a game that was good around that same time.

I remember when downtown had them at every casino. I think it was in the '60's.

Binion's had Arabs bringing their money in suitcases in those days. LOL

Well, ask her the "double on any 2" question or otherwise it's all a big yawn.

Just a big yawn as you said - here are the rules:

I checked with the pit and on the 3:2 single-deck blackjack, you can double down only on 10 & 11, you can split a hand once and you can not double down after you split a hand. Let me know if you have any other questions.

So much for a good BJ game.
