$3.50 Administrative Fee

I get a postcard from a local pizza chain advertising $7 medium pizzas.
I call and order two and am told it's $17.50. I assume it's a delivery fee so I say Ill pick them up on the way back from the park. Swing by and am told it's $17.50. I tell them I ordered two $7 pizzas, how is it $17.50. Girl tells me it's an administrative fee. For ordering pizza. I tell her I don't want them and she calls the manager. He tells me the fee goes towards advertising and front office fees. This allows them to charge less per pizza. I suggest he charge a twenty dollar fee so he can give the pizza away. He offers to waive the fee this one time and I pass.
I find it hard to believe that you, billryan, could not rationalize a reason to find this fee acceptable - like you do for EVERY new fee the casinos come up with. I am in shock, I tell you!

WOW, here's something I can absolutely agree with you on. I would've done the same, maybe even laugh at in the guys face and tell 'em where to put his pizzas. I hate underhanded crap like this. A fee so they can advertise the cheaper pizza, what a fricken' joke. Good for you on passing them up.

Sounds a lot like a resort fee to me.....kudo's to billryan for doing the right thing and setting the business owner straight. I learned a long time ago that in business, if it's devious, don't do it....and this was devious.
The bigger story here is why is Billy buying crappy cheap ass pizza?
I like pizza. Pizza is delicious. Especially if it has the pepperoni.
I'll even eat vegetarian pizza in a pinch. But not gluten-free. I have my limits.
Okay, maybe gluten free with onions and extra pepperoni.
And welcome to America. Home of bait and switch and fraudulent anything and everything. I really just can't even half of the time with just about any business and wonder how they sleep at night and then understand why Americans are just full of anger and hostility constantly. How do you earn a living and sleep well at night. Very thankful to not have to earn a living in customer service.

As for gluten free, my brother was on a restricted diet while having. Issues and I tasted his gluten free stuff. A few of the pizzas were edible

I'm still trying to find good pizza here. My favorite is Joe's NY Pizza, but it's over by the Hard Rock and not convenient. Figured this was a good chance to try two pies at a decent price. Now I'll just keep looking in Henderson. Papa Murphy's take and bake is pretty good.
There is no good pizza here. I will help you out and you can end the quest. Lol. Metro pizza isn't bad and you can get take out, but it is a sit down restaurant. Take out and a good local cheap Friday at 10pm delivery isn't going to happen. When we first got here, we stopped in to order a pizza at a local shop drivingnby and they were closed at 9:30. This was a foreign concept to me and would never happen back home. At the papa johns, you can't pick up a pizza after 9:30 and have to have delivery. This is a weird pizza town and they would not stay open a month at home like that.
