3 Free nights at the Plaza for a Facebook "Like" at..

** my disclaimer is that I am passing this on ** I won't be in Vegas during these dates so I haven't done it. You will need a Facebook account to "Like" the LAOhana Website.

LAOhana Website states:

Like our Facebook page on the right side and we will give you a 3 night stay for free at the Plaza Hotel and Casino Las Vegas.
Please fill out this form and you will receive a confirmation by email or phone from a Plaza Representative. Offer is good for one per house hold. Must stay between 8/1/2012 - 9/30/2012. Room booking must be 3 or less consecutive nights.

I've been reading the Facebooks comments about the 3 Free Nights at the LAOhana facebook page and there is no confirmation of a trick or no trick.....I'll monitor and update if I see a clear answer.

Hard to say if it's a scam or not.

the site is no longer accepting applications for the free nights, guess they got overloaded and had to shut it down.

The site is actually LA ohana. Made up of a number of Hawaii people now living in LA, LV and on the continental US.

Lion, thanks for the info and please keep track for us. Would be good to know if this has "strings" attached or not. I can't see them giving away 3 free nights without some string attached to it. Of course you will probably have to pay the resort fee for 3 nights, lol. (joking).

We should find out pretty quick since the special is only for august and september. Wish I could have gone but I already got my airline for october, just missed the deal.

Sure smells of a timeshare to me.

Well to close out this topic- (info derived from the website itself and other vegas boards)

The website did have a legitimate deal with the Plaza. They did comp people free rooms as promised including waiving the newly established resort fee at the Plaza. The big blunder was the overwhelming response that hit the site. They ended out helping just a few hundred folks out and couldn't assist the rest of the entrants that were late to the party. I am sure they would handle it differently in the future since pleasing the few and pissing off the masses wasn't the plan.

Great that at least they have deals like this. Also great that they are waiving the resort fee, I had thought that they would make up with the free rooms by charging the resort fee.

If anything the site should have said that the deal was good only for the first few hundred people who signed up. They didn't anticipate with facebook that the news would spread like wildfire. But for 3 free nights they should have known that everyone would sign up if they could.

Wonder if this special was to try to offset the new resort fees being charged. Maybe lighten the impact of the new resort fee.
