3rd annual Weenie Dog Football Challenge! FINAL DOG Pictures

Lions haven't won a TG game in 6 years. They've lost by an average score of 33-13.
With Roscoe correctly picking a winner in a Thursday game, I haven't felt this much pressure since I was sitting between a Rottweiler and a Mastiff at the Vet recently. Sheesh.

Luckily I have a pick that will help me keep pace. I will take the Philadelphia Eagles minus 3 1/2 bones against the Chicago Bears. Yeah the game is at Soldier Field but I will take Michael Vick over Jay Cutler in this one. The Philly defense will wreak havoc by putting pressure on the Bears QB, paving the way for a nice road victory.
The Twelfth week of NFL football has come and gone.

Here are the results of the weenie picks for week #12

Once again Roscoe was "right on" with his Patriots pick! They covered the easy spread, just like Roscoe said that they would, and he scores yet another victory, bringing the brown, good looking, weenie, to an impressive .500 record for the season so far!

Blackjack on the other hand...didn't do so hot. His Eagles pick was looking shitty throughout the whole game, then they showed some life at the end, but it was too little, too late.

The Bears held on to the win, and in the process, handed little blackjack another heart breaking loss!
Oh well...thats football for ya!

***Total results after week #12 ***

Roscoe 6-6

Blackjack 3-8-1

Better luck in week #13 weenie boys!

Damn it -- I wanted to pick the Over in the Philly-Houston game last night, but I didn't get my pick in. I was too busy gnawing on a rib steak bone and licking my privates.

So I will take the Seattle Seahawks, a respectable home team, against the 1-10 Carolina Panthers. The 'Hawks will cover the 6-point spread.

Good luck, everyone!

I wonder if Pete Carroll has any insights on weaknesses of Jimmy Clausen? Pete faced him over the past four years.
Sorry that I am late with this pick....I fell asleep with a turkey bone in my mouth last week, and I just woke up now. heh heh

Anyway....my pick of this week is the Baltimore Ravens minus 3 over the Pittsburgh Steelers

This is a key game for both teams, but the Ravens need it more, and they appear to be clicking on all cylinders, with Flacco throwing well and the running game moving the ball and those chains on a regular basis. There is no need to mention that bruising defense!

The Steelers.... on the other hand are struggling big time, Big Ben has to "try" and play with some boot on his foot, and he is just going to struggle.

Take the Ravens and give up the 3 points....which really should be between 7 and 10 ...Ravens will win this one easily

Good luck to those who are making my weenie pick this week!

Good call. Apparently so with the interception return for a TD, three sacks and a forced fumble.
Congratulations to Blackjack for hanging in there and gaining a game back from Roscoe. Here's to hoping we have a horse race er weenie race in the final stretch of the NFL season.
The Thirteenth week of NFL football has come and gone.

Here are the results of the weenie picks for week #13

Blackjack posted a nice winner this week with his Seahags pick over the extra shitty Panthers! It was looking shaky at the begnning with a 14-0 lead by Carolina, but Seattle came back and ran up the score on them, giving Blackjack an easy victory!

Roscoe was "right off with his Ravens pick! It was a close game, but Ravens found a way to cough it up at the end, and they lost 13-10

Roscoe 6-7

Blackjack 4-8-1

Better luck in week #14 weenie boys!

Look out Roscoe! I am gaining ground on you. And I have just the pick to pull within a half game.

I am taking the New York Jets and giving 5 1/2 points to Miami. It's true that New York suffered one of its most embarrassing losses in franchise history last week. But Rex Ryan will use the outcome as a wake-up call for his players. And the blowout loss creates a value play this week. If the Jets had been more competitive last week they would have been favored by at least 7 points against the Dolphins. So 5 1/2 points is a bargain. Plus, Tom Brady doesn't quarterback the Fish, Chad Henne is behind center. 'Nuff said.

Good luck, everyone!
