6 card Pai Gow Fortune

Recently I came across a great game, 6 card Pai Gow Fortune. It's the only 6 card Pai Gow I've seen. It's in a Casino in Oklahoma outside of Joplin, MO., (Downstream Casino). No commission on wins, unlike normal Pai Gow. Two side bets, Fortune bonus and also Insurance. Insurance pays up to 100 to 1 for 8 high Pai Gow. With King high Pai Gow paying 3 to 1. You have an option of doubling down If you think you have a strong hand.

Has anyone seen this game anywhere else? I'm headed to Vegas soon, and would love to find it there.
Nope - I have not seen this in Vegas, Illinois, or Indiana. Sounds interesting
How do you "set" your hand with 6 cards? Never heard of this variation to the game either.

Play one card for your low hand. If you have a pair with an ace kicker, set the pair as your high hand and the Ace on top for your low hand.

I'm afraid once the bean counters deduce the actual long term floor take on this game, they'll tighten it up or take it out entirely. Pai Gow is certainly a low revenue game for the casino, (the reason for low rate tracking for players), this variation may be a negative for the casino.

I'd like to know more about this variation.
Is the highest straight Ace through Five or Ace through Ten?
Is a TIE on the low hand considered a push? Dealer win on high hand, tie on low a house win or push?

Off the top of my head, I suspect this variation may have a much higher house advantage than "regular" Pai-Gow poker, depending on the rules.

The highest Straight is Ace thru ten. 2nd highest is Ace thru 5. If the player wins the high hand and the player and dealer tie the low hand with aces. Player wins tie. All other ties goes to dealer. Remember you can double your bet after setting your hand.
