6th Annual Weenie Dog Football Challenge

I thought I would pop in here to bite Roulette Man's ankles. And while I am here I will make my pick for Week 1 playoff action. I am hurrying up and betting the San Francisco 49ers minus 2 1/2 points on Wednesday morning to not risk the line moving to 3, which would be significant. I realize Aaron Rodgers is back and the Pack has home field, but the 49ers are clearly the better team.

San Francisco minus 2 1/2 points for my sixth straight win!

Whatcha got Roscoe?

Time to keep this weenie streak going folks!

This week, I am going with a road dog, and taking the Kansas City Chiefs +1.5 over the Indianapolis Colts.

The Colts have been just OK lately winning their last three games, while the Chiefs have been resting players and lost two in a row.

That much needed rest for those 22 Chiefs starters last week, is really going to pay huge dividens, as the Chiefs put the stomp on the Colts.

Andrew Luck is still a relative babe in the woods, when it comes to play off games, and he choked pretty good last year. This year will just be a repeat of that, vs the Chiefs.

I am going with my doggie gut here, and I hope it pays off.

Best of luck to all of you, who are making these weenie wagers.

Wow,

Roscoe got benefit of the hook. Congratulations to both dogs, although time is running out on Roscoe.
We are hot dogs! A combined 12-0 over last six weeks!

I'm planning to win out and keep Roscoe from eating those cookie bones this year.

Those weenie dogs are on FIRE!! A perfect 12-0 against the spread in the last 6 weeks!

Blackjack is not giving up that lead so far, with only two weeks of weenie football left to go, can he hang on? Or will he choke on the final two weekends!?

Weenie results after week #18

This weeks summary: Two good weenies!!

Blackjack's NINERS pick was a solid winner, as the Niners struggled early, but came back with a late field goal to win

Roscoe's Chiefs pick was also a winner as the Chiefs lose by one point, but Roscoe gets the benefit of that half point to cash in on the win

So the Standings look like this:

1st place BlackJack with a record of 11 wins and 7 losses

2nd place Roscoe with a record of 9 wins, 8 losses, and 1 tie

Good luck next week puppies!

Here is another winner for you. I spent all week commiserating between Seattle and Denver. But in the end I am taking the Seahawks minus 7 1/2 points. The 1/2 point over 7 is bothersome, but the 'Hawks are a better team than New Orleans and the home field advantage is significant for the NFC's No. 1 seed.

Let's go Seattle. Lock up those cookie treats for me!
This week, I am going to continue my winning ways, and get a jump on Brother Blackjack, cause I don't like his pick this time.

I am taking the San Diego Super Chargers +9.5 points over the Denver Broncos. I really do not think that the Chargers will win this game out right...I hope they do, but I know they will keep this game close and NOT lose by 10 or more points.

Chargers have a pretty good defense, and they handled Peyton's offense pretty good a few weekends back, when the Bolts went to Denver and whipped them Broncos.

This win will put me in prime position going into the last and final week of this challenge, so I can secure the grand prize!

Good luck to all that are making this weenie wager.

Woof! Woof!
I believe this year's weenie challenge has concluded. With a 12-7 record the Arizona weenie has mathematically clinched. What a race down the stretch with us combining to go 14-0 since Thanksgiving!

I know many of you have been relying on Weenie picks to put food on the table. So here is one more unofficial money raising pick: Take San Francisco plus 3 1/2 points against Seattle. Woof!
Sorry, that its taken me so long to update the standings. I have been out in a training class for the past few days. It was crazy!

So those weenie dogs remain on FIRE!! A perfect 14-0 against the spread in the last 7 weeks! I hope they can both finish off the contest with two more wins

***Congratulations to BlackJack Pooch for winning this years "Weenie Dog Football Challenge" He did really good this year, and would not give Roscoe a chance to catch up!

Weenie results after week #19

This weeks summary: Two good weenies!!

Blackjack's Seahawk's pick was a solid winner, as the Hawks kicked put and barely covered the 7.5 points with an 8 point victory

Roscoe's Chargers pick was also a winner as the Chargers looked horrible early on, but turned around in the 2nd half and came to withing 7 points of winning that game, which was 2.5 points more then the spread was, giving Roscoe the easy win.

So the Standings look like this:

1st place BlackJack with a record of 12 wins and 7 losses

2nd place Roscoe with a record of 10 wins, 8 losses, and 1 tie

Good luck next week puppies! Keep that WIN streak going through the Superbowl!
